FirstBarkI adopted a rescue GSD that didn't have any manners and I hired Matt to train him. I'm happy to say he came back a different dog. He's so easy to handle now and walks politely by my side. I would recommend Matt to anyone who needs dog training services.

My girl Norah is a graduate of another dog trainer in Dallas and was the first dog Matt trained while she was there. I live in San Antonio and needed to go away for a week on a business trip. My trainer recommended Matt because he went through his training program and is closer to me in Austin. I was thrilled that he accepted to watch Norah while I was away. It isn’t easy to find someone you trust to care for your dog, but it is even more difficult when they don’t know how your dog is trained. It’s such a relief to have him closer to us and that she can have a mini refresher, “boot camp,” as I call it, while she’s with him. He was so great to work with from the beginning. He’s very responsive, patient, and easy to talk to. You can tell he loves your dog while he has them, too. I appreciated the updates and photos I received while I was gone. It gave me peace of mind that she was having fun and okay. Norah will definitely be back when I have to go away again. Thank you, Matt!

Matt takes the time to explain everything and genuinely loves all the dogs he trains like his own. I will be recommending The Hill Country Dog Trainer to everyone we know and will definitely be bringing Cairo and other dogs we have back in the future. We are beyond grateful for the phenomenal training Cairo received.
Matt did an amazing job on my German sherpard. My dog listen to me more, he is quieter, calmer. He is like a different dog. I am so happy and grateful for everything he did. Best decision I’ve made!!! From the first call, Matt explained all the details, answered all my questions. Communication continued throughout training with texts and videos. My girl is home and we are learning our new normal. We went on our first walk alone tonight and I’m speechless. She’s a professional now. Seriously, don’t wait, Matt is the real deal.
