Matt was amazing with our Mixed Breed Beau. Matt also was great at the handoff explaining his techniques and Beau’s commands and how to correct him. I am more confident on his directions and handling of my sweet boy.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to have our 10 month old Rottie pup trained by Hill Country Dog Trainer. Theo (out Rottie) was safe, well cared for and loved on during his 21 day board and train session. Matt took his time with Theo and it shows. The training we received on pick up day has helped me be consistent and confident as I continue the routine and implement the methods here at home. Matt is easy going and available to answer all my questions as they come up. I highly recommend Hill Country Dog Trainer, it’s hard to say see ya later to your pup for three weeks, but the results and the reunion are well worth the wait and the investment.

We’ve boarded our Great Dane, Willow, with Matt several times, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. We really appreciate that Matt keeps the dogs in kennels inside his home, so they’re comfortable, safe, and part of his daily routine rather than isolated in a separate facility. Willow is always happy and relaxed when she’s there, and it’s clear she enjoys her time with him. Beyond boarding, Matt has helped us reinforce her training and even taught her new skills we struggled with on our own, like confidently loading into the back of our SUV! Matt communicates well, is reliable, and sends helpful video updates so we can see how Willow is doing while we’re away. We highly recommend Matt as a trusted, knowledgeable, and caring boarder and trainer.
