The Home Grown Dog

Emily is the absolute best dog trainer! We just got done with our second board and train for our 7 year old goldendoodle to work on his reactivity on the leash and excitement towards dogs and people outside. I was afraid the saying “you can’t teach old dogs new tricks” was going to apply to him, but Emily reassured me that was not true. She was right! Charlie has had an amazing improvement in the house and outside on the leash that we didn’t think was ever going to be possible and we couldn’t be more thankful for her. She took Charlie into her home and cared for him as if he was her own. 10/10 would recommended her to anyone who is looking for help getting pups both young and old!!

Emily is a wonderful trainer. She came to our house before setting up our board and train for our golden doodle. She was able to get a feel for what our Daisy girl would need during her training and helped us get to know her and feel comfortable with her. She did such an amazing job with Daisy. Emily is very easy to talk to, explains and teaches things clearly and is always willing to answer any question we may have even after Daisy's training. I would highly suggest her to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable dog trainer and someone that truly has a passion for what she does!

We did B+T with Emily for our strong willed Rhodesian Ridgeback. We wanted to focus on strengthening her basic obedience and building her confidence. She left us with a fear of sounds (trucks, unfamiliar sounds, bangs, fireworks, thunder, etc) and came home to us after training being almost fearless. She listens so well we can comfortably take her off leash. She goes on walks with no issues of trash trucks going by or loud bangs in the distance. Her sound sensitivity has improved ten folds and she’s a happier, more well balanced dog overall. Couldn’t recommend Emily enough, she is phenomenal at what she does!!

Having raised several puppies in the past, we were very confident that we were going to get the job done. But unfortunately, life happens and we felt we had an unfinished job. That’s where Emily came in. Her attention to the details and outstanding communication put our minds at ease as we began our journey together. After a three week board and train, our seven month old puppy Moya came back a completely new and improved version of herself. Exceeding all expectations, and I should add, completely worth the investment. We can’t say enough about Emily and her abilities to get the job done right. A five star experience all the way!
