The Home Grown Dog

TEN STARS!!! Emily is the Oz of dog training!!! I swear, this woman speaks "dog". Emily's knowledge about how the animal mind works, her training/coaching techniques for both dog and owner(s), compassion and professionalism are above and beyond ANY trainer we have worked with in the past. **1st day/Drop off: Upon arrival, Emily asked us what our goals were for our pup, Jax. Trust me, she listened because Jax does exactly what we discussed and so much more we didn't even know we needed! The woman speaks dog! **Midway: We got to visit Jax at the halfway mark of the 2 1/2 week training package. We discussed the progress that's been made, and she taught/trained us on how to manage what she's trained our dog to do. **Last day/"Pick Up": Emily delivered Jax back to our home on the last day. We had a THROUGH training secession on "how to"/"what to do" with Jaxy's new skills. She took the time to answer every question AND left a detailed packet on how to do everything she taught our pup! But that's not all! You can contact her with any questions or concerns even after the training! Trust me, I did, and she was happy to help! Our German Wire-Haired Pointer went into Emily's training program a dopy young boy, and she delivered him back a polished young man!!!

Emily is a Lifesaver and has taught us so much about our dog behavior during the whole process of training, I’m so happy we decided to work with her especially with a baby on its way in September. My dog Ollie came back completely different and we knew it was up to us to be consistent with his training. Anyone that has a baby or is pregnant and have concerns about their dog 100 percent contact Emily for training.

Our 4 month old Pomeranian puppy Kash stayed with Emily for 2 weeks! She was honestly one of the only people we were comfortable leaving our young and highly suggestible puppy with because her environment, training, and level of communication. Emily is super knowledgeable and helpful. My favorite part of her philosophy is her desire for dogs to be neutral about life- no strong reactions to anything- just happy, carefree, and easy going. We’ll be using Emily for a long time to come. Couldn’t recommend her more ❤️

My 2 year old dog Maple went to Emily for a 3 week board and train. Emily has been great through this whole process from the initial conversation to picking up Maple after being gone for 3 weeks. Emily is super responsive and gave me multiple updates on Maples progress every single day. Maple is not perfect but that wasn’t expected- we have a very solid foundation and the tools to build upon what Emily taught her. I am excited to continue to see Maple progress and know that Emily is always there for support- in the few days the Maple has been home I have already texted Emily many times and she has been very responsive! Highly recommend.
