My boyfriend and I rescued a Dogo Argentino puppy back in February. Within the first few weeks of her settling in, she was exhibiting clear signs of people and dog reactivity. Despite our best efforts to combat her reactivity, her dog reactivity continued to get worse. It was to the point it was becoming increasingly dangerous, and we were concerned about the liability of having a dog that was becoming aggressive towards other dogs. We contacted Rob, and within her first private lesson, we saw incredible improvement. Ivy is now four weeks into group lessons, and her reactivity has substantially subsided. In those four weeks, Ivy has also learned how to walk loosely on a leash, heel, and sit/down without the use of any kind of lures or bribes/incentives. She can work in real-life and busy environments, and we are so impressed with how far she’s come in such a short amount of time. This was a dog I feared to have anywhere near other dogs, and it got to the point where if I saw another dog, I would turn around and (try) to walk the other direction to avoid any interaction at all costs. Now, Ivy works around other dogs in group training and other dogs with by-passers with minimal to no reaction. Rob and Katlin genuinely care about you and your dog(s), and it shows exponentially. Their training offers clear communication between you and your dog that eliminates any confusion or conflict. Clear consequences has offered our dog a lifetime of freedom and reliability that she likely would’ve never found otherwise. Special shoutout to Katlin, she is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met; the world needs more people like her. She has held my hand and walked me through some of the most monumental moments Ivy and I have had, and I could not be more thankful for her. I have quite literally sobbed in her arms and she ensured I felt zero judgement or shame, and it was a huge turning point for myself as well as Ivy. I cannot recommend Rob and Katlin enough. Their training and the support they give has changed our dog’s life for the better, as well as our own lives.
