I recently had the pleasure of working and continue to work with Rob to fine tune my dog, Captain. I am thoroughly impressed with the results. His expertise and commitment to both my dog and other dogs and their owners make him an exceptional dog trainer. Rob excels in clear and effective communication. He takes the time to explain training techniques, answer questions, and provide valuable insights into understanding canine behavior. This not only helped me grasp the training process better but also is making the overall experience enjoyable. Rob’s knowledge in dog behavior and training techniques is remarkable. He tailored the training to suit my dog's specific needs in real life situations resulting in noticeable improvements in a surprisingly very short amount of time. One of his standout qualities is his patience, compassion and he takes the time to show how to properly train a dog. He also shows genuine care for both the dogs and their owners, creating a positive and supportive learning environment. This makes my training sessions enjoyable and effective. I am delighted with the results achieved through Rob's Thek9encounter training. Captain has shown significant improvement in behavior, obedience, and overall demeanor. My experience with Rob & The K9 Encounter has been outstanding. I started with my German Shepherd dog, who was extremely reactive, to the point I could not walk her down the street without her nearly pulling me down and going after other dogs. The other training she was engaged in was based around treats/rewards – however she's not a food/toy-motivated dog, and no treat would deter her from reactivity. She's nearly 80# and it was becoming dangerous. Working with Rob, we do not rely on cookies/props to compel good behavior. We work on the repetition of basic, solid obedience with the dogs in a variety of settings to proof the training. I can now confidently bring my German Shepherd to group outings and on walks. Recently, I have added a Dutch Shepherd to my family, and her training is going smoothly with core obedience. She has also entered the world of protection training. This is one of the specialty areas that Rob excels in, and it has been a great experience working with my balanced dog along with a great group of dog handlers. I would highly recommend this organization for solid obedience training and protection work.

The K9 Encounter is THE BEST in the business hands down ! I own a Mal and a working line GSD. Rob, made a HUGE impact on both, myself and my dogs on day 1. He’s absolutely thorough , can work with any type of dog - from Pet to working lines - unlike other trainers who are over priced and have no clue how to get your dog where it needs to be. I went through a few trainers and knew they weren’t really that good- and then I found The K9 Encounter. They even offer board and train or just boarding if you’re going out of town , etc. He kept both of my dogs for a couple of days. I would not recommend ANYONE else for training your dog(s). This is THE ONLY trainer I will ever deal with. Honest man, very well priced and you can tell this is what he was called to do ! Thanks again for everything , K9 Encounter !
