The Naughty Dog Training

At a vet appointment, it was suggested that we contact Becky. What had started as "shyness" in our australian shepard puppy had rapidly developed into fear aggression, and we were not prepared to handle it. She took us on and immediately started us on clicker training. Jasper very quickly began making improvements, but it was slow going. Becky was there every step. Between answering my epically long emails, phone calls and text messages she always made time for us. Becky is incredibly knowledgeable and generous with her time. We're so pleased with how far Jasper has come.

Though I love words, they often fall short of expressing the reality of a person or situation. Reviewing Becky, will be one of those experiences, but I will do my best! My boy Blue came to me at 8 weeks, very much a puppy, but a puppy with a rather worrisome edge. I knew that I needed help if we were to have a successful relationship. I've worked with trainers before, and was not really that impressed with their methods, so I was a bit hesitant. As luck would have it, in the puppy folder given to me at my Vet's office, there was a handout from Becky's "The Naughty Dog Training." I called, she came, Blue and I never looked back! We (almost more me) learned SO MUCH during our eight lessons. While her methods, i.e., clicker training, individual/personalized lessons, etc., were consistent with what I wanted for us; what really hit the bull's eye was Becky, herself. Blue was mad for her from the first lesson. She was so good with him, and so encouraging and reassuring with me. Blue is a Corgi, and at the time the lessons started weighed about 8-9 pounds, BUT, he was A LOT of dog! Ultimately, what I learned is how to have a relationship with Blue. I have had dogs throughout my life. I've loved them, they've loved me. But I've never had a relationship like this before...the quality...the progressing depth. We are learning how to be friends. It's just awesome. I didn't want a robot dog. I wanted Blue, with all of his feistiness, energy, and spirit intact, but with the edges smoothed out. That's what I got. I can't recommend Becky highly enough. I have several of her business cards that I keep in my pocket when I'm out in the world with Blue. My plan is to give them to people when I see them struggling with their dog. It just doesn't have to be like that! Becky is so kind and amazing to work with. She really goes above and beyond for your and your dog's needs. Esther, my miniature-dachshund, can be quite the sassy-Sue, but Becky has so much ease and can take control of any situation that Esther throws at her. My husband, Esther, and I are making progress with her training now that we have a stronger foundation thanks to Becky's skills and training. Her pricing is also reasonable and she is willing to work with you in terms of the payment process, which we are grateful for. She also has worked with us when choosing and customizing the program that best fit our needs. I would highly recommend her!
