FirstBarkLuke has helped us tremendously, especially with our 2nd dog who was more reactive and sensitive than our first. I am so impressed with the progress my golden retriever Max has made in just 3 appointments with Luke! Max is less reactive, more polite to strangers and new dogs, calmer around the house, and less stressed/anxious. Luke is very knowledgeable and shares training information in a way that’s easy to understand. I recommend Luke and The Sport Dog Society to anyone who is having a hard time managing challenging behaviors with their dog.
Luke is wonderful! He taught us that small changes like using frozen kongs and food puzzles in the kennel, teaching palm signal to come, using lots of Charlee Bear treats (low cal and inexpensive) for distraction, lots of repetition, positive reinforcement, and using window fogging to stop our fearful dog from barking so much all have helped us so much. Definitely worth the effort!

I’m very impressed with Luke’s knowledge in dog behavior and training. We had 1 in home session with our german shepherd mix who is a very high energy 1 year old. The next day after our session some strangers to Heidi came. We were outside and Heidi was freaking out. I implemented what Luke taught us - a whole different dog!!! I was able to get control of her and calm her down in record time!!! Heidi and I were so much more cool, calm, and collected!! Thanks Luke! Melissa 🐾🦴

Luke was so helpful! He not only showed me ways to fix behaviors that me and my high energy German shepherd were dealing with, but he also gave us ways to prevent behaviors and keep my puppy happy! The changes we’ve seen are night and day. I have a whole different dog who I can communicate with, and doesn’t try to rule the house anymore. I can’t wait to have more sessions with him and see what my puppy can do with the right tools and training!
