The Sport Dog Society of Austin

It has been an absolute delight working with Luke :)) I feel so grateful to have found him and so does my rescue, Willie. As they say, when the student is ready the teacher appears. Willie is approximately 1.5 years old and is a Labrador retriever, border collie and terrier mix. He has lots of energy and luckily for us, Luke specializes in training herding dogs. By learning new feeding techniques and ways to communicate with him, both myself and Willie are gradually becoming better trained and more in sync. We are so grateful for Luke and his patient approach to supporting us, especially on nights when we're tired and frustrated and he makes time for a phone call to walk us through it. Thank you, Luke!

Luke (The Sport Dog Society) has been a game changer for us. We have Redbone Coonhound that is very tireless and a very tenacious pursuer. Luke has taught us about the breed and provided the training and tools on how to make our little girl and us successful and all happy. His safe, positive reinforcement, fear free training style has helped ease our anxiety. Some of the game changers he taught us was how important it is to exercise our dog's brain as well as the body. He taught us that by including food games and forge feeding throughout the day it gives her a mental challenge, eases anxiety, provides her an enjoyable job and makes her a happier dog. With his help we are making tremendous progress. We are very blessed to have Luke on our side and highly recommment him. Thank you Luke!

We have had such a great experience with Luke & the Sport Dog Society over the past two years! Our sweet pup, Chance, saw Luke as a puppy in his group puppy classes. We also did a few in home sessions during the puppy phase, to establish the basics. The experience of having a new puppy and feeling supported by Luke & The Sport Dog community was priceless. Fast forward two years and Chance was having trouble with public situations, greeting people in our home, etc. bc of a very high level of energy and anxiety. I called Luke and he immediately got us on the schedule. As you can see from the photos, we’ve come a long way in just a few short weeks! Through some small daily changes, we have a calmer, happier dog, who we are truly starting to understand better. Luke has improved Chance’s quality of life and ours as well. We are so grateful for him and his dedication to the Sport Dog Society!

Luke has been incredible! We did our first virtual training session last week, and have learned so much from him in such a short period of time. Our dog has improved 10 fold in the training goals we established. We did remote training, which I’ve never done before, and his techniques worked really well!! Luke really knows his stuff and spent extra time after the session to follow up with a comprehensive, tailored email for additional resources and reminders. We can’t wait to continue working with him, as our dog has shifted his behavior noticeably in a rather short period of time. We couldn’t be more pleased! Thank you Luke!!

Luke has taught us so many valuable lessons & habits! Forage feeding helps so much for us and overall capturing good behavior. Our pup is so well behaved at home and we feel like we have the tools we need to adjust unwanted behaviors! Highly recommend if you want a strong relationship with your dog that suits your lifestyle.
