Three Dimensional Dog Training

Three Dimensional Dog Training has been an incredible experience for our family. What makes their approach so unique is that they don’t simply train your dog—they help train you to better understand your dog, communicate effectively, and build a healthier relationship together. Their approach to canine behavior gave us a completely different perspective on why dogs behave the way they do and how, as owners, we can set appropriate boundaries while helping our pets feel secure and understood. We learned practical, effective ways to address unwanted behaviors through better communication and relationship development rather than simply trying to “correct” the behavior. The result has been a much better owner-pet relationship and a happier, more balanced home. We are so grateful for what we learned through Three Dimensional Dog Training and would highly recommend them to any dog owner who wants to truly understand their dog and create a stronger, healthier relationship with them. The staff is so kind, knowledgeable, and doing something truly special!

He hung my precious dog up in the air by a slip collar and leather leash like a fish he had caught. I was confused, not acting immediately, because it was such a surprise and after all “he’s the professional, right?” He seemed happy, smirking, while he had her hanging there squirming and gasping for air on the metal Herm Sprenger collar he insisted upon me buying, it “works best”. This was how he would choke my dog out in mid air, “helicoptering” her and it would take some months, and multiple veterinary opinions for me to find out he had mentally damaged her for life. She was afraid, showing fear signals especially on leash of course (because of his treatment) which I had never seen in her before our time with Aaron. Enough so that the veterinarians told us it would be most ethical to put her down. The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) views "Helicoptering" as a prohibited practice! But, it appears Aaron McDonald has no certifications to his name in dog training, including the CCPDT-KA. Another strange aspect of his “training”, instead of stimulating a dog and giving them time with actual mental opportunities, he wanted to keep my dog bored on her place to “think” in her adolescence. During a stage when she should have been learning and engaging with her world. Before Aaron’s “expertise”, I had a happy dog who did public access work in service, loved me, and was happy, after Aaron I had a fearful dog who shut down and could no longer live comfortably in the world around her. He simply ruined my dog. Aaron McDonald’s ethics are dangerous. He appears to have no certifications, or actual education listed on his website. He uses old, outdated, and aversive methods. Here is my sweet girl, her name was Chev. She was smart and willing to learn. Aaron completely shut her down. I have grieved this loss throughout the years and wished I had trusted my own training I put into her and gone with someone with better credentials that Aaron to help her into her next part of training. If I can save someone else that heartache I hope this does.

Three Dimensional Dog training has been a wonderful experience for me and my lab! We just finished up our private sessions, and will be moving to group training at the end of the summer. The program is so well run, and I was so impressed with the way it went from start to finish. (Even though we’re not finished!) Our trainer Amy was so knowledgeable, professional, always on time, and always followed up with videos, tips and tricks and much more. I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer! I am looking forward to continuing our training and moving forward to Hand in Paw :) Thank you all so much!!!
