TMS K-9 Connections

I have a 3 year old German Shepherd rescue that we adopted when she was 1. She is a very nervous dog that was extremely leash-reactive to other dogs. Although I had a private trainer and took leash reactive class nothing seemed to help. She escaped the back yard and bit another dog. Stephanie was referred to me by a dear friend and German Shepherd owner who did search and rescue. Summer, our dog, was at TMS for 4 weeks. I can hardly recognize this sweet dog. She no longer barks at everyone/dog she sees through the window. She doesn't jump on everyone. She walks down the stairs inside the house which she refused to do before. I have just had 2 days working with her myself but life is totally different. Summer used to play with the dog next door but was getting too rough. After they watched Stephanie working with her in the front yard they could hardly believe it was the same dog and invited her over to play with their dog, This is the best investment I have made and now we can really enjoy this sweet dog. We have heard positive anecdotes about TMS for years, and we had the opportunity to bring our puppy in for training in August. They have a very well thought out plan for on leash training the first two weeks, and then additional work in off leash during the last two weeks. Our pup returned with new skills that we never would have accomplished without their help. We plan to keep up with her training at home and return her for the next two week training soon. We are very grateful to Stephanie and Sabrina for their work with our pup, and we appreciate having such a wonderful place to take her for boarding as well.

We sent our 7 month old Labrador for one month of training. Originally we planned on 2 weeks but I'm glad we did the entire 4 weeks. Stephanie runs a tight ship and makes pick up and delivery very efficient. The only reason I did not give this business 5 stars is that I did not receive any written or training videos of the material until I wrote a review. During our check out session we received a LOT of information, basically everything he'd learned over the last 4 weeks. I asked if I could take video of the hand/voice commands and Stephanie replied that it would be provided for us. I assumed it was in his bag but it wasn't, so I followed up by email. They replied that it would be provided AFTER we shared a review! At $3,100 I feel like it is not too much to ask for written instructions on voice/hand commands! The longevity and sustainability of his training will depend upon us maintaining these commands, which we can't receive until we finish this review! That said, our dog has been a joy for the last 3 days and we're just eager to maintain it!
