Sam is awesome, super friendly, and I felt like he really cared about the success of my dog and me. My husky, Ruckus, was complete chaos before, and now she recalls and walks well on and off leash. His lessons were more than just dog training, he taught me how to handle Ruckus and have success after trainings were over. People tell me all the time they’ve never seen an off-leash husky before, couldn’t recommend him enough!

I cannot recommend Trail Dog Etiquette, aka Sam, enough! 5/5! Sam has given me the tools to better communicate with my pup, Effy, and it has improved our relationship dramatically from the very first session. Sam is a nice and knowledgeable dog trainer who listened to my needs/wants as an owner and imparted his in-depth understanding of different techniques to enable Effy and I to enjoy substantial progress during our sessions and beyond. Over the course of 1 month and 8 sessions Effy no longer pulls on the leash, is no longer scared of lakes/rivers, can be trusted off leash, is less reactive in hectic environments, and much more. Reducing Effy's separation anxiety is still a work in progress but thanks to Sam's sage advice we are seeing steady improvements. I am very grateful to Sam/TDE for giving myself and my pup the skills to continue our journey as owner and pet on a more positive and rewarding path.

I’ll start by saying the investment in training with Sam and my dog Dice was totally worth every dollar and minute spent. Sam is a teacher at heart. He’s compassionate, has a wealth of knowledge and is very explicit. After every lesson I walked away with something I could work on with my 93 lb boy. I had never trained a dog until now and now I truly understand what it means to work with a dog trainer. Sam’s got it all. Best choice I ever made. It’s noticed by many , not just myself. Thanks Sam!
