The best decision I've ever made was to call Sam at Trail Dog Etiquette. He is the most knowledgeable, patient, communicative and interactive trainer I've ever worked with and wish I could give 10 stars. I needed help with leash training and walking my reactive/very strong 3yo rescue Pitbull Luna and by the end of the FIRST session I had a completely different dog. She was initially dragging me down the street on walks, running up on other dogs and trying to start fights, and not listening to me at all. Sam made me comfortable and confident in that first session that we could correct this behavior with repetition and care and his guidance, and Luna responded immediately. Because of our sessions my dog can now joyfully meet other pups without fear, or aggression, stays right next to me on our walks (and off leash!!) and listens to my commands the first time. Truly changed our lives quickly and made it fun along the way!

I can't recommend Sam highly enough! He is an excellent trainer who combines patience with skill. From the very first session, our dog took to him immediately, which speaks volumes about his approach. We saw fast results and significant improvements in our dog's behavior. My husband and I are visiting from Michigan (it's become a pilgrimage of sorts now). We decided to sign our 6 month old Vizsla Kyro up for some lessons while visiting our friends here. Sam came highly recommended by two sets of local dog parents. He was quick to respond to my initial email. We identified goals for our 4 sessions. Sam was timely and easily approachable with questions. Kyro responded very quickly to his teaching style. We saw improvement with his leash walking after the first lesson. Each lesson was very helpful with reinforcing and building on progress. If you're considering investing in training for your dog, I highly recommend Sam! We'd absolutely use him again in the future. 🐾
