I have a nine month old German/Australian Shepard female who will refuse to get in to my truck due to previous car sick episodes. I want to take her with me when I go places. I’m very frustrated!! Any helpful advice would be appreciated!

Hi Sarah,
I would recommend talking with your vet about medication for car sickness. It can be helpful to rule out car sickness first before going the training route.

I am not a trainer, but my dog was the same. I got in the back with her and a treat. I sat there for 20 minutes with her without the car running. I got out with her, walked her around the car, then did it again. She is great now!

We’ve learned so much about how we can better handle and support our dog through a variety of situations. The training spot also has a great reputation around town, both our vet and people at pet stores have recognized the name and had nothing but nice things to say! The Training Spot is the Best! I mean it. In the world today, so many places let you down. I had trouble and Training Spot came thru for me and that was even before we started our training! They didn't even know me yet. Wow, then training started. I think all the trainers are great, but we had the best! Her name is Annette. She loved Dory and Dory's ears. :) She helped me so much. I would get flustered. I had trouble learning as quickly as my dog did and Annette helped and had patience with both of us.
Training Spot will help you make a good dog even better and help you become a better dog owner too.
