Two Dads Dog Training

We had a wonderful experience with Michael at Two Dads and a Dog. He came into our home for 4 weeks of puppy training. He was super knowledgeable and was able to give us great advice based on our specific situation and set up at home. He was also able to tailor each session based on our needs week to week as issues and questions arose. We will definitely be continuing training with Two Dads and a Dog for our pup in the near future!!

Two Dads and a Dog were amazing! The first phone call to talk about the Puppy Manners class, Michael talked to me for almost 45 minutes giving me tips and tricks for training our puppy before I even scheduled the classes. Michael was an incredible trainer. He worked with our entire family, kids included, to learn how to properly train our puppy. We learned so much and thankfully and most importantly , so did our puppy!

My partner and I recently adopted an adult dog and wanted to learn some techniques to help with reactivity with other dogs and jumping. We got amazing assistance with that in a private session with Luis. We also completed two dog workshops, which were fantastic! The class sizes are small, so our dog didn’t get overwhelmed and you are able to get a lot of personalized attention. Michael and Luis are gifted teachers that know a lot and you can tell how much they want to help the dogs (and their humans) be their best selves! Highly recommend! And their prices are incredibly reasonable compared to other private training programs in the area!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about our experience with Two Dads and a Dog. We contacted them after having adopted not just one, but 2 small dogs from a hoarding situation and found ourselves quickly overwhelmed by our two very fearful dogs, one who was extremely reactive and barking and lunging at just about everything and everyone. We were ready to give up when we contacted them and after a long phone conversation we felt more hopeful than we had ever before. We had an initial meeting which I still cannot believe to this day how much we learned in just that one evening (or the fact that he got our fearful dog eating out of his hand by the end of the night). Then we signed up for weekly private lessons for the month. The changes that we encountered week to week were incredible. He is patient, extremely knowledgeable, and treated our dogs like his own. His techniques all revolve around positive reinforcement. Because our one dog has been so fearful of movements, initially he couldn't easily demonstrate to us what to do. But he was able to talk us through the steps and carefully watch what I did with him to critique and help guide me to do things properly. He is amazing at reading the dog's body language and helping us to understand it as well. He taught us the tools we needed to know to increase our dogs confidence and to help him see things more positively. I know we still have more work to do, but the progress we made in a month is incredible. We can never thank Michael enough for how he has helped us!
