UberDog Training

I love UberDog Training. We have had several dogs in the past and taught them how to sit and that was it. UberDog has trained me about as much, if not more than I have trained my dog Gibson. It's amazing what the trainers can do just in the 1st free demo and initial lesson. Gibson enjoys going to classes, working on tricks at home, and playing in the park. I never knew training a dog could be fun. The trainers are very approachable and will cater to individuals' wants/needs. They offer a wide variety of classes and hold classes throughout the city that make them easy to attend. Every dog I get now will be an UberDog.

Uberdog is a lifesaver! Katrina and Greg turned our unruly german shepherd into a well mannered dog! We were impressed from the very begining with the in-home demo. We worked with Katrina and she would often bring her dogs with her to in home training and from looking at how her dogs behaved showed us how good uberdog is! I love the type of training with the e-collar because it allows you to work with your dog in a humane manner. I am a 21 year old girl and I can walk my 60 pound german shepherd with ease, which was not possible months prior where she would pull me. She can also socialize with other dogs and people at group classes which was not possible months ago either. If you are looking for a great trainer, uberdog is the way to go! They are your family for the rest of your dogs life!

We were referred to UberDog by three different breeders. Katrina and Greg have been a wealth of knowledge about the Aussie breed and dogs in general. We knew were getting a highly intelligent energetic dog and Maggie proved to be both in the first week. She (or should I say her family) needed training as to how to best channel that energy and work with those smarts. We spent several weeks trying everything we, the internet, and dog obedience books could come up with to fix our new puppy’s nipping, jumping, and out of control behavior. From the first in-home lesson to now the transformation has been nothing short of unbelievable. The group classes have been absolutely incredible to train around other dedicated dog owners and to have continuous guidance from the trainers. Now at six months old, Maggie is a model citizen. I no longer have a special Maggie “designed” wardrobe with jeans covered with rips and holes, I can wear my Sunday best around her and only get licked! She takes long walks (sometimes off-leash!) without pulling, plays hard and follows the rules, and minds her manners with us and visitors. We truly feel like a part of the Uberdog family and know we have the best guidance and training for the life of our dog. We continue to attend as many events as we can, group class, tricks/agility class, and outdoor events mostly because Maggie loves it and also because we are continuing to learn. (She also absolutely adores Katrina and Greg )

The services and staff of UberDog are amazing! We actually live in Apex, NC and drive over 3 hours (1 way) to go to UberDog. We had been to several trainers in the Raliegh area with our Australian Shepherd puppy and none seemed to be able to address the high energy aspects of the breed. Most training focus on training the 80-90% of dogs that are easier to train and they would rather not deal with the ones that need a little more attention. We had seen several videos and had actually met Katrina at a picnic that our breeder had. We just thought the services were awesome, yet we didn't think that we could do the 7 hour roundtrip for each session. Well, things changed quickly during a weekend "vacation" with our puppy to Charlotte. On a walk to a lake in Fort Mill, the puppy decided to throw one of her usual fits. We didn't know how to address it. All the other trainers told us to stand there and ignore her. I ended up muddy, sweaty, and bloody. This was the first day of the vacation and I told the wife to call Katrina at UberDog and see if she could offer any advice. Katrina quickly gave us some simple advice over the phone for the night and asked us to come in the next morning for a free consultation. Her approach to training was completely different than we had seen from other trainers and worked immediately. In the prior months, I had read 10+ books on training and her 2 hours of consultation worked better than any prior technique could have. The problem at this point was still that we had a 7 hour round trip for training if we wanted to proceed. The wife and I used the consult techniques throughout the day and discussed our options that night at the hotel. After discussing the options, we happily decided to call Katrina and move forward with their program. She was able to schedule us in again before we headed home. Since that time, we have been back for a couple of training sessions. We also found another great dog with their assistance and have him in training with them as well. We have our next appointment with them tomorrow and are happy to make the 7 hour journey to keep us and our pups happy. As for our first Aussie puppy, she has come a LONG way in the couple of months since our first interaction with UberDog. The biting and nipping has stopped. I can wear normal clothes out again :) Her ourbursts are much more controlled. We know how to divert her energy and keep her satisfied. We are extremely thankful that we found UberDog training and we would recommend their services to anyone looking to train their dog to be the best dog possible!

We tried PetSmart classes, 6 lessons with a private trainer and agility training, all before contacting UberDog about our mini schnauzer that is over-protective/lacks confidence. The biggest problem with them with they were generic (PetSmart), or there was a set limit on sessions, regardless of if your dog was ready to "graduate." We started training with Katrina a little over 6 months ago. After the in-home demo, though, and after finding out that there's a discount after you sign up one dog, we decided to train our puppy with UberDog, too. When I found out that after the in-home sessions we could continue going to group classes as much as we'd like, I was sold! The training isn't cheap, but it has proven to be worth every penny. I loved how Katrina tailored our in-home sessions to our specific needs. Even having a kid from our neighborhood come over to help with the dogs' reaction towards children. We made great strides with both dogs before they graduated to group classes. Even in group classes, Greg and Katrina will make time to work one-on-one with you if they see you/your dog struggling. Finally, as new issues arise, I know I can text/email Katrina and get her help. I definitely see an improvement in our relationship with our dogs since training began. I'm able to go more places with them and not worry quite as much as i used to. We're definitely not done with the training yet, and I'm so glad we don't HAVE to be.
