Utah Bird Dog Training

Our 1 year old Golden Retriever, Ruth, just finished her two month obedience training with Utah Dog Bird Training, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Being away from her for two months was hard, but her trainer, Ian, made it so much easier by sending updates and photos every other week. We always felt like she was safe and making progress. About a week before pickup, Ian also sent us videos of Ruth following her commands, along with additional instructional videos explaining each command in more detail. Those were incredibly helpful and gave us a head start on understanding how everything worked before we even saw her again. When it was time to pick her up, Ian spent almost two hours with us going over everything Ruth had learned. He demonstrated each command, then had my husband and me practice with her while he coached us. It was so helpful and gave us so much confidence. Ruth has now been home for a week, and we are genuinely impressed. Walks are easier and far less stressful, having guests over is smoother, and her “place” command has been a game changer. She’s calmer, more focused, and still her sweet self, just with manners. We’re so glad we found Utah Dog Bird Training. We’ll definitely use them again for boarding and for the refresher training they offer. If you’re thinking about getting your dog trained, do it. Two months of training is absolutely worth years of having a well behaved dog.

Utah bird dog training is amazing. We sent out 1 and a half year old German short-hair to them for just obedience training. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. The few weeks before we sent him we had a chewed up couch. A kids broken arm and multiple stolen items from the table. Not to mention the leash pulling. All from not listening. Tyce and Jeff both had a big influence on our dog sitka. He now listens and is overall way more calm. In the 3 weeks since we got him back we have had no issues what so ever. He listens. He doesn't jump and we walk him off leash every day without worry of anything. He is a really good dog. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you for the training.

We had a great experience with Utah Bird Dog Training. They worked with our Lab, Gunner, on waterfowl, upland game, and obedience training. While we haven’t been able to get him out in the field yet, the difference in him at home has been incredible. He is so well behaved, responsive, and clearly confident in what he’s been taught. Tyce is great to work with — professional, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. He genuinely cares about the dogs and takes pride in what he does. The obedience alone has been worth it, and we’re excited to see Gunner put his training to work soon. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality training and someone you can trust with your dog.
