Dan with Vail Dog Training is great! I have two unruly rescue cattle dogs. Each has very different behaviors and tactics. I tried lots of strategies and ideas (from the AKC website - all a good start), but the 1 1/2 year olds kept outsmarting me. Dan came to our property and changed our lives! He is intensely observant and intuitive with dogs, and gave me solid tools to help these pups listen and follow directions. They are much happier and well adjusted. I highly recommend Dan for any issues you have with your dogs. Please give him a call - he’s very personable and has so much help to offer.
Dan is the most incredible dog trainer. Ranger loves being with him. Boundaries are key and learning that it’s not dogs that need training but us humans!

When I reached out to Dan for help with training our one year-old Portuguese water dog puppy Stella, it was the best thing I could’ve done for our family. Stella was in her teenage months, and she was so strong and starting to be overprotective of me. We did quite a bit of training with Dan and now she is a completely different dog. I can take her for walks, she walks at a perfect heel and is a joy to be around. Stella loves to go to Dan‘s house and play for puppy play days, she has learned how to be social with other dogs. I highly recommend Dan and his training techniques.
I have known Dan for 5 years and he is an excellent dog trainer. He has helped me so much with my dog, Lexi. I highly recommend him!
