I dropped off a highly intelligent 6 month old Red Heeler (Australian cattle dog) named Ruby with one speed (blazing fast) and a preference for doing things "her way." 6 weeks later I picked up an obedient, well mannered, disciplined Red Heeler with a high degree of self confidence and a full complement of commands that she understands and applies when prompted. Sergio's approach is deliberate and disciplined and his "post-graduate" directions to me to effectively support the reinforcement of Ruby's training both on and off leash, indoors and out, in the company of other humans and Ruby's overall daily life are comprehensive and clear. He followed up with a phone call within a week to see how Ruby was "acclimating" to her new disciplines and if I had any questions or needs to continue Ruby's growth.....a very nice and considerate touch to the 6 week training! Sergio is a very experienced trainer and his commitment to excellence is notable! I highly recommend Valencia K9 for training your dog to a high standard.

Outstanding Training Experience with Valencia K9 Academy We cannot say enough good things about Sergio and Valencia K9 Academy. We enrolled our Belgian Malinois, Ace, in Sergio’s 8-week obedience training program, and the transformation has been incredible. Before training, Ace was constantly jumping on people, wouldn’t listen, had poor manners, and was difficult to control. We knew he was a smart dog, but we needed someone who could help him reach his full potential. Sergio did exactly that. Throughout the entire training process, Sergio kept us updated with daily videos and photos, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to see Ace’s progress firsthand. He took the time to work with Ace in real-world environments, exposing him to different people, places, and situations so he could become a well-rounded and confident dog. That socialization and obedience training were exactly what we were hoping for. When Ace completed the program, Sergio personally delivered him back to us. The difference was remarkable. Ace is now obedient, attentive, well-mannered, and a joy to be around. His behavior and responsiveness have exceeded our expectations. We had an incredible experience with Valencia K9 Academy! Sergio worked with our dog, Birdie, on advanced off-leash training, and the results have been amazing. Sergio Valencia is not just a dog trainer. He becomes part of the family! He helped me find a breeder and began answering questions for me about therapy dog training before my puppy was even born. He sends daily pictures and videos, allows us to come train with him on and off site, but also brings the dog to me for training. Sergio treats my dog like his own and there is no one else I would trust more to care for my dog. Once you complete training with Sergio he becomes your training partner for life!

Sergio is the best! Highly recommend him! He was so great with our Bullmastiff puppy. He was a head strong but scary dog and Sergio took him places and helped him not be so fearful. Sergio gave us tools and tips too use when we brought our puppy home that made our lives easier and we can now enjoy going on walks with both of our dogs. Sergio is very patient with us and the dogs he is training. We are able to call Sergio anytime and ask questions or advice. He is always willing to do what it takes to make us and the dog happy.
