Valhalla Hunt Club & Kennels

My pup was too young to hunt at the start of the bird season this year. I was looking for alternatives to give him a positive introduction to birds and live gunfire. I came across Valhalla and learned that they offer training that I can attend with my dog. I went for the puppy gun dog class. It was a good time and exactly what we needed. They do this every Saturday morning. It is a great way to introduce a pup, or dog who is new to hunting, to birds and gun fire. Their approach is organized and progresses each pup from being exposed to birds for the first time all the way to being confident hunting dogs that can perform in the field. These gun dog classes last around an hour to an hour-and-a-half and cost $50 each. If that price seems high, take into consideration where you live and what it costs to drive somewhere to hunt with your dog, with the best hopes of being able to run into some birds. I am willing to shell out the $50 every Saturday to get opinions and advice from people who work with hunting dogs and for my pup to be able to work with live birds.
