Valley View Canine

I used VVC for 3+ years - for both obedience class and doggy daycare. The obedience class was nothing special. My dog finished first in her class, and I was promptly called up individually to get her certificate and be told she needed to retake the class ? I had my dog going there for doggy daycare 2x/week. I thought things were going fairly well, albeit with continual changes in staff, their main door locked during normal business hours, and an extremely rude bookkeeper (don't accidentally park in her spot - she will ignore you for months, and then if you park there, proceed to go off on you on how that spot is reserved for the owner, only to park there herself). Because I have a large, furry dog - I was told at the beginning that when new dogs come in, they will put my dog with them, as she is large and can handle other dogs chewing, aggressive play, etc. I didn't see an issue with this for the most part. If my dog came home with scabs and part of her ear chewed, I informed the workers. A couple months ago, I went to pick up my dog. I was a lot earlier than usual. I was told my dog was not liking a new dog and growled, but was fine. The other worker then proceeded to get my dog, from a closet. This closet is small, lights are out, there is no stimulation, limited air flow. I asked why my dog was in there and for how long. NOBODY could answer this question. It took my dog 2 full days to recover and get back to herself. I notified the owner, and was met with excuse after excuse in the fact she had turnover, was going through growing pains, and basically, she made zero effort to keep me as a client. She wasn't sure herself as to why my dog was in the closet. She actually refused to acknowledge she even had the closet. She came back later and stated my dog was growling and when scolded, put her teeth on the worker. Hmmm.... not saying my 5 year old dog is perfect, but this is something I have NEVER seen her do. Also, there was never a bite report, and the report card I received stated my dog had an excellent day. As the policy states all sales packages are final, and have a year to use - I am out over $160. In the owners own words. "If you had brought this to my attention sooner, we could've worked something out." Well, I DID bring it to her attention, and NOTHING was worked out. My dog is much happier at her new daycare and I would be cautious to anyone taking their pets there at this point.
