Sam was amazing with my dog Lexi! Lexi was having a lot of reactivity around other dogs and was becoming more unpredictable to the point I didn't feel comfortable taking her out in public. She was frequently getting in fights with other dogs off leash. I couldn't even have her leashed on my porch because she would bark like crazy at any person or dog walking by. Lexi did a 4 week board and train and it really solidified her obedience and fixed all of those issues. And we have had several included lessons afterward to solidify the training. Lexi can sit off leash in my front yard with me and will stay in place when I tell her, and doesn't bark at people or dogs passing by, or try to chase them. Her leash manners are amazing and I am now able to take her off leash in the foothills with the confidence that she will follow commands. Her recall is excellent. Lexi seems like a much happier dog with the confidence she has gained from her training. I would highly recommend Sam to anyone in need of dog training or trying to work through behavioral issues with their dog. I'm so grateful for Sam's help and expertise!

I sent my Husky Denali to Valor K9 and I could not be happier with the experience! Denali was a shelter dog that had been returned 2-3 times before I adopted her. As someone could imagine for a dog who had been returned that many times she can be a bit of a handful. She originally was going to train with Taya who was absolutely amazing with sending us pictures and giving us recommendations for Denali! After a few days, Denalis anxiety grew out of hand and Taya consulted the Valor k9 team and made they decided that Denali needed a different approach. I was blown away by there team work and how fast they where able to get solutions. Denali then went to hang out with Samantha and did an amazing job. She has a much calmer state of mind and has a tighter bond with everyone in my family! I was supper grateful at how many of my questions Sam was willing to answer (I had a lot lol). Denali is now completely thriving in our home because of the teams clear instructions on smooth transitions and continuous training. I am so stoked on my dog and her training! I've had 2 dogs go through training with Samantha & Jenna. I cannot tell you what a difference their expertise and support has meant to our family. Both of our dogs are bully breeds, who became part of our family just before COVID. Unfortunately, we were unable to socialize them well during that time, and one became extremely fearful of strangers. So much so that he bit a neighbor. With Samantha's dedication, and the support of the whole Valor K9 team, over a year after his board & train, he continues to make positive strides. We have tools to continue to improve his socialization, and trainers who are invested in our future growth. I feel grateful to know I have access to knowledgeable professionals, helping me navigate an extremely challenging, scary situation, with compassion, care, and real results. We will always have to work within his capability and ensure safety for all, but we are grateful to have found people to support us on this journey.

Can not say enough great things about Valor K9 Academy!!! Jenna is wonderful - I took my puppy to her for a 2 week board and train, and she came back a completely different dog. So well mannered, and does so well in social settings, with other dogs, and overall obedience. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is wanting to get their puppy off to a great start in life!!! I signed up my heeler for service training with Taya and it is going amazing! My dog absolutely loves her and they work together really well. Everyone I know is extremely impressed with my dogs behavior. The way Taya explains everything is clear and easy to understand for both me and my dog. Her methods are effective, she is very personable, and I will definitely be working with her again when I get my next puppy in the winter. 10/10 absolutely recommend her to anyone who asks me about training.
