Hagen Hendrix sold me a GSD and promised to get me the documents so I could register her with the AKC. He never did. I finally had a genetics test done through his and the dog's vet in East Palatka and it turns out the dog is NOT a GSD! She's a mix of German shepherd, Belgian malinois and CHOW CHOW. I wondered why she had a streak of stubbornness in her and now I know why - she has a little chow chow blood, who are notoriously known for being stubborn. (I have owned 3.) On the other hand, GSDs are well-known for wanting to please their owners. With all the training I invested in her, I paid nearly $50,000 for dog that sometimes has a stubborn streak and won't do what I ask her to do -- or not do what I tell her not to do! She's a cute dog, but I paid nearly $50,000 (!) for GSD with guard dog training - not a mixed breed with a stubborn streak of chow chow! I have another GSD (that I registered with the AKC) that I bought 5 yrs ago from someone in Interlachen and I wish I had gone back to her for my second one! In my experience, Hagen is an excellent salesman, but not ethical. I had a bad gut feeling when I first met him and I should've listened to it, but, as I said, he's a very clever salesman. BTW, prior to learning the dog is 3 breeds, I had MANY other issues with Hagen, but I chose to keep peace and not post a review. However, I can stay silent no longer. My warning to you is: Avoid this man at all costs. If you fail to heed my advice, don't claim someone didn't try to warn you. I wish I had read all of the reviews before I got involved with this man.
