Van Hendrix K-9 is a professional training facility dedicated to the training of canines for families, corporations and government entities.
The successful training of dogs is accomplished through love, dedication and trust. Dogs are honest and don’t know and don’t understand the idea of “not loving unconditionally.” They give us an honest and perfect world. There is no bad breed. Bad dogs are created through negative human interventions.
Hagen trained his first dog, a mutt, at the age of 6. Hagen’s ability and keen understanding of dogs was further strengthened in 1992, through the rescue of a nine-month-old German Shepherd, Alexander, from a shelter in Virginia.

Working with Christina and Hagen has been wonderful. They are both very professional and knowledgeable. After researching for 3 months I found Van Hendrix K9 and adopted Jesse who was career changed. Jesse is shy but loving and is eager to learn. Christina and Hagen made certain our adoption process was seamless and they answered all of our questions promptly and thoroughly. We have been very happy working with this great group of people and highly recommend.

We adopted Abby, a year old golden who didn’t make it through service dog school from Van Hendrix K9 due to anxiety. She has been the best addition to our family. So sweet, great w kids, had some service school training and all around a great experience. I would def recommend!

We just finished the week long training with Michael. He was absolutely amazing with our son - explaining everything and re-explaining when necessary. He made sure we were comfortable and even put in some extra training towards the end of the week. I cannot express enough thanks for Van Hendrix and their team!!!

We got our pup, Spirit, from Van Hendrix K-9 as a career change dog. She is so wonderful, well mannered and good natured. I would recommend them if you’re looking to train your current pup or if you’re lucky enough to snag a career change pup from them. I will definitely be returning! Christina is wonderful to work with.
