Vermont Dog Pack

You won't find a better dog/ people trainer any where! Rhonda is so easy to work with, and she really cares about her clients (both the dogs and the humans)! I love that just because you "finish" your training package she doesn't just give you a completion certificate and send you on your way. There are always ongoing opportunities to continue training with her and other clients. Rhonda is always learning new techniques, and sharing her continued knowledge with her clients. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I got my puppy from a rescue at 6-7 months. He was adorable but had separation anxiety and despite doing very well at daycare, would have issues with other dogs when I was around. I wanted to nip it in the bud early, and figure out a way to fix the problem(s) before they got out of control. I shopped around with multiple other trainers in the area and tried a lot of different strategies but nothing really seemed to click exactly and saw little to no improvement in behaviors despite a lot of time, effort and frustration. Then VT Dog Pack's recommendation finally came from a friend. I was a little hesitant at first, but after a single consultation with Rhonda, I got the sense she could really see what made the puppy tick and like her programs could provide us the one-on-one attention, structure, and accountability we needed to really work through some of his issues. The fundamental element of the program for us really was the repetition. It was hard work. There was "homework" assignments and spent a lot of time every day after work focusing on training and eliminating bad behaviors. But it paid off! I started to see changes in his behavior almost immediately. He (...we) are definitely still a work in progress. But working with Rhonda and the classes and mixers with Vermont Dog Pack have been a godsend. Would recommend to any and every dog owner!

Rhonda is AMAZING! Our dog Pearl was both human and dog reactive (a rare and difficult trait to have) and even though we had problems with her attempting to be the alpha in our home, Rhonda was willing to work with us without hesitation. Through Rhonda's training of both Pearl and us, we were able to have a dog that was well mannered, and we didn't have to worry about. Rhonda continue to provide care and support for us and Pearl through group classes and other activities as well as texting and phone calls until Pearl had to leave us. When we got our new puppy, there was no hesitation about who we would take him to for his training. We had moved to Maine, and it was a 4 hour drive to attend Vermont dog pack but we had no hesitation doing that drive. While we can't attend the almost weekly group classes and Mutt Mixers, Rhonda still provides support through texts and phone calls when issues in training arise. Vermont Dog Pack is the way to go if you ever need training!
