Milo and I had a wonderful experience with VGDT. During Milo’s 6 years of life we’ve been through several programs but this has been the most effective. In a matter of weeks Milo has improved so much and with more consistency on my part, I’m certain we will reach our goals. Stephen is very professional and knowledgeable. His deep understanding of dog behavior has definitely helped me improve my relationship w my dog. Stephen’s patience and willingness to help even after sessions made this a very wholesome experience. We were referred to Very Good Dog Training by friends that had used them and raved about how it was the only way to go. After getting our new puppy My wife and I decided we wanted to do it right with this one, so I reached out to Very Good Dog Training and requested Stephen the same trainer our friend had. I can't say enough about Stephen and how easy he was to learn from, but I can say this by the end of our first season my wife was so impressed with the progress Riley our puppy and I had made she said I think we should sign up for the second phase of the training and keep on going, so that's what we did. And again I couldn't be happier. I guess if I had to pick a couple reason why I would recommend Very Good Dog Training, first would be Stephen's willingness to go above and beyond to make sure you are picking up what he is laying down and that your pup is too! And if your not he doesn't rush you through it he make sure before moving on you understand and can do it successfully. And 2nd would be the open line of commutation he keeps with you. Meaning after he gives you the homework for the week he randomly will text you and ask how it's going and if you have any question ? And if you do he says let me show what that looks like in a video and he will take the time to take one of his dog and get them to do what your having trouble with the wrong way and then show you how to correct that behavior and then show what it looks like when you do it the right way. Stephen is a all around good guy that wants you and your pet to live a happy stress free life and let me tell you, the guy know how to do that, As long as your willing to put in the work and not be afraid to take him up on his offer to text or email him if you need help or you get to a point you can't seem to get pass. Trust me when I tell he will be there for you and he will help you figure out what the problem is and show you how to fix it. So give Very GOOD Dog Training a try you won't be sorry you did. I know I wasn't and it was worth ever penny .

Steve is an amazing trainer and proponent for you and your pet to have an amazing life together. Steve truly cares about his clients and is even selective about choosing clients to ensure that his success rate is 100% which is important. Steve does not only teach your pet to behave but he will coach you to know how to properly and effectively communicate with your pet. Steve coaches confidence in owners in order to achieve the desired outcomes with your pet! Before working with Steve we bought bits and pieces of training advice from other trainers and tried to learn as much as we could on our own (waste of time), but Steve put it all together and really made the difference for us. The communication with our dog could not be clearer and more successful. Steve is always available to his clients and will text and video advice any time. This really made the difference for us, to be able to check in and receive advice and reassurance from Steve. We love Very Good Dog Training! The best investment we could have made with our pet.
