Webfoot Retrievers retriever training kennel

I decided to take my puppy "Reese" a golden lab to Webfoot Retrievers kennel at 3 months old...I'm having Ray train her to retrieve and for obedience. I love to go down to Holly Hill, SC and field train with Ray and my puppy. During some of the Saturday group training sessions...I not only take in what Ray is telling me about my dog, but I also listen to every word that he is telling other owners about their dogs too. Ray's knowledge in handling / training is vast. I took my 11 year old daughter with me last Saturday and she is amazed how much progress "Reese" has made in her first month training with Ray. I made the commitment to have Ray keep my puppy and train her for 4 or 5 months...my goal is really two-fold, one to train her to retrieve and two obedience so that we can enjoy her as a well behaved family dog too. These dogs are so intelligent but that intelligence needs to be channeled through training. Most important Ray's training involves a lot of praising.

When my 10 month old GSP decided to blow me off and scamper the neighborhood I knew I needed some help. I grew up with labs and didn't know where to start with a pointer. Ray did an outstanding job with her and I am totally pleased. We started with basic obedience and moved quickly to the field. I am now the proud owner of a dog that is steady to wing and shot and a pleasure around the family. Ray knows dogs; and not only does he train them he also trains you. I highly and wholeheartedly recommend. It was exactly the training I was looking for.

Ray has done a great job with my chessie Bogart. He is very knowledgeable and everything he has told me has proved true...Bogart is a very soft dog and stubborn, Ray took this into account while training him and told me that once his testosterone came in I would be surprised... I literally saw Bogart go from being timid at one hunt to being unstoppable, crashing through thick briers and black mud swamps for retrieves, on a hunt two weeks later. Best part is that Ray loves these dogs and Bogart gets excited and hugs Ray every time we see him.

His greatest talent is not only working with the dogs he loves and trains, but training the owners how to handle and work their dogs. Our Chocolate Lab, Jake was with Ray for 4-5 months and what a difference from when we first left him for his education.
