Webster's Dog Training

I highly recommend Gordon Webster as a dog trainer. I worked with him for 8 sessions with my young, high-energy Rhodesian Ridgeback, and the progress we made was incredible. Nala can be strong-willed and tends to get overstimulated, but Gordon was calm, patient, and very clear in how he guided both of us. He didn’t just train my dog, he taught me how to communicate with her in a way she understands. Our leash walks are smoother, her recall is much more reliable, and she’s overall more relaxed and confident. What I really appreciated is that Gordon explained the why behind each technique, so I wasn’t just copying steps, I actually learned how to continue the training on my own. We still have more goals ahead, but I now feel equipped instead of overwhelmed. If you want real, lasting improvement and a trainer who truly understands both dogs and people, Gordon is the one to work with.

When we got Arlo, our old English sheepdog, we thought we could train him ourselves but quickly realized watching YouTube videos was not enough. We were going insane having a puppy and Gordon’s puppy training program brought structure for Arlo and taught him things we didn’t even know we needed like threshold training. Gordon was available to us 24/7 when we had questions. The best part was Gordon teaching us how to train ourselves, and it’s so exciting to see your puppy understanding the commands and being able to settle and stop jumping on people when greeting them! Gordon also provided all the training materials after each session and a Puppy Training Checklist to keep us on track. Gordon is the reason why people say Arlo is so well behaved for a puppy!

Gordon really knows his stuff, and the moment he walks in the room, your dog will know that too! We adopted a playful one-year-old Bernedoodle from the shelter who was a bit out of control. Just in the very first class, we learned the basics: sit, down, up, and come commands as well as how to walk him properly. That alone made us feel like we had control. We stopped looking around for answers and completely trusted Gordon. With each class, our skills improved, and our dog became more responsive. After only two months, the improvement is measurable: his confidence soared, his reactivity dropped, and friends are amazed at the transformation. Gordon’s no-nonsense approach works, he teaches you to be the trainer and gives you the tools to succeed. We highly recommend him!

I am so happy I found Gordon to help train my Inka (and me!). He is very patient, consistent, and really knows dogs and how they will react. Inka has come so far since he has been working with us. He is patient with me learning what to do, he truly understands how dogs think. One of the things I like most is how communicative he is.
