FirstBarkKayla and her team take great care of our retriever while we are away. He loves going out there and is always so excited to get out and play! It makes leaving him so much easier knowing he is getting great care. Highly recommend for boarding dogs.

Wheatland Dog Center in Derby, KS is a small, specialized dog training and boarding facility on a 20 acre farm that focuses on sending your dog home happier and healthier than when they arrived. The Dream Dog Program is customized for each dog to build a foundation of obedience and address unwanted behaviors. Our Puppy Raising program helps new puppies start on the path to becoming well-behaved, happy dogs, with two or more weeks of being raised and trained in our home. Daily activities and individualized attention from our experienced professional trainer ensures dogs have their emotional and physical needs met with low stress and anxiety levels. We looked into finding a puppy to train as a service dog for our son, and visited Kayla to learn about her dogs. We were so impressed with her center and how knowledgeable and caring she was for her dogs, that we left with an available puppy that day. Our dog Birdie is the smartest and kindest dog we have ever known. We were brand new dog owners but Kayla was very responsive to provide any guidance we needed on introducing a puppy into our home, building good habits early, and helping our son bond with his new puppy. We have truly enjoyed adding Birdie to our family and she has been such a blessing to our entire family! If you are looking for a service dog, we highly recommend Wheatland Dog Center!
We recently moved back to this area and were looking for a place to kennel our two dogs while we moved, so we contacted Kayla at Wheatland Dog Center. She was very responsive, and accommodating to both our dogs, Jax & Juno. Both have already been back for a second visit while we were on vacation. It was very nice knowing and helped ease my mind that Kayla is a dog trainer and knows dogs well!!
