Whitewater Retrievers

Reading some of the “scared” reviews just makes me laugh, I can assure ANYONE reading my review that Rob does not “abuse” or “neglect” any dog. I’m sure most of you have heard the sang “owning a dog is just like having a kid”. I’ve never had a kid but I know if you want your kid to grow up to be a respectful human being, sometimes tough love and DISCIPLINE are required… which is exactly what Rob does best with these dogs!! I would bring my next dog to Whitewater Retrievers in a heart beat, the moment I dropped off and picked up my dog I knew he was/had been in good hands and was going to continue grow to be smart and obedient.. which I’m sure is what every dog owner wants. I can’t stress it enough… if you want your dog to be in the hands of a fantastic trainer, then Whitewater Retrievers is the place to go because Rob is the man!! Thanks again Rob for taking such good care of Kane and making him 100x more obedient and intelligent than what he already was. I’ll be seeing you soon once I get my next pup!!!

Rob, Thank You so much for elevating Lucy in so many ways. She sits, heels, stays in her place, comes even better. Yesterday we took her to a doggy day care that has 50-80 dogs. They all are in large open area together (no barking). She did fantastic!! This will give us not only a free day once a week. But will help us keep her socialized. Which is my favorite improvement you gave her that will last and benefit her for the rest of her life. My second favorite thing is you got Linda to throw the harness away and use the choke chain. People don't realize how important collar training is. It's not mean. Don't have to even apply force. Just a small tug now and she straighten right out. Thanks Again Lamont

We vetted a few places for bird and gun training before settling on Whitewater Retrievers. Firstly, Rob couldn’t have been more open and accommodating inviting us to visit the facility in advance. Instantly, Uto took to him which was telling considering his apprehension to men. The facility is extremely clean and Rob is a decorated trainer. Rob took the time to understand what our goals were from training and tailored Uto’s schedule to what worked best for Uto’s needs and accelerated his progress when it was clear he was ready. I appreciated his kindness with Uto and patience with us. Importantly, Rob updated us with videos and whenever I texted would return a communication promptly. In a very short period of time with Rob, our Uto markedly improved his ability to track birds. He went from an undisciplined pointer to just what I was hoping for, an excited, purposeful hunting companion. I cannot wait for upland season to begin. Thanks so much Rob! 🙏
