Whittier Dog Club - Training & Boarding

We were referred to Whittier Dog Club by owner of South Bay Dogs, Kim, during her training facilities relocation. Koa, my working line black GSD, reactive, sometimes aggressive, turning 3yo on 4/9/25 needs constant work, more than most GSDs I’ve met. His litter has a few reactive siblings that we know of, genetics play a huge part in his reactivity & seemingly anxiety. We’ve done a few private lessons w Chris which came w our board & train for Koa back in Dec 2024. I also boarded my adopted Alaskan Husky w them during our latest “vacation” back home in my Native HI. We worked on refreshing his basic obedience and really getting the timing down for his ecollar and so much more. Headed to another pack walk w them and it’s helping us both progress on our own time while still making time to get out and train in public places safely. I highly recommend them for any dog breed if you’re struggling and tired of all the fake trainers especially in the South Bay LA. Much mahalos to Chris & Sasha for all your support. The Whittier Dog Club has been such a help for my dog, Ren’s reactivity issues! Since we started attending, we’ve noticed significant improvements in her behavior. The staff at the club are attentive and skilled, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all the dogs. They take exceptional care of the facility, keeping it clean and well maintained. I truly appreciate the dedication and expertise of everyone at the club, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their dog's behavior.

I am a disabled person and adopted a dog from a shelter who had bad behavior problems to where I thought about giving up and taking him back to the shelter. Chris from the Whittier Dog Club became my trainer who guided me and my dog with his talent and patience. He helped me use the proper equipment and basically trained me how to handle my dog which is what I lacked in helping understand what my dog needed from me. Ozzy is now my confident and well behaved Service Dog helping me with my mobility issues. Everyday when I am out in public I have people come up to me with compliments on how well-trained and calm he is. Every penny I spent was worthwhile as he gave me RESULTS. We attended Private Training, Group Training, as well Doggy Day Care. Whittier Dog Club has the state of art equipment and is a super clean facility. Thank you Chris! you changed my life and I am forever grateful for a wonderful Service Dog and Companion.

I brought my 4 month old male Pit Bull, Bowie, for board and train because working full-time made it difficult to adequately work on the puppy behaviors I wanted to alter. Besides I had never owned a Pit Bull before and knowing he will be a big powerful dog, I need him to be sweet, gentle and listen to me. He was biting me all the time in a playful way, but hurting me. He didn't respond to being called unless he wanted to come. He wanted to play with my cats but was way too aggressive in his play. He was super sweet, but had what I called, psycho-puppy mode. I was very frustrated. I decided to invest in him and Whittier Dog Club/Klutch K9. I was very impressed with how clean their facility is. The kennels are very clean and safe. I really liked Chris and Sasha and their trainers. I got Bowie home and he is a different dog only after just a few weeks. We still need to work with him, but the foundation they laid has been a God-send. I'm so thankful I chose to bring him here. You need to go visit this place. They really are amazing at what they do.

I can't express enough how grateful and happy I am for trusting my "former very reactive", 1 year old Mini Australian Shepherd, with Whittier Dog Club for their 6 week boarding and training program! Chris, Rudy and Sasha are an exceptional team, and so is their facility. Sasha is super responsive and helpful with clarifying any questions you may have, as well as ensuring your dog will be well taken care of. Chris and Rudy are such highly skilled trainers, that in addition to knowing how to handle any dog, they also genuinely care about them! Rudy was exceptional, super patient and helpful with my dog and myself, always willing to support us and answer my questions. My dog is completely different, he is well behaved, calmer, I can take him everywhere I want, and our relationship has improved 100% in such a short period of time. I'll most definitely continue to bring him for group classes and for boarding when I travel. I promise that the investment is worth it and that there will be no regrets - only joy and a better life for dogs and their owners.
