Whole Dog Institute is a local dog training business serving clients in the Durham-Chapel Hill-Hillsborough area. We had a wonderful experience at Whole Dog Institute. Our puppy benefited from the Puppy Relationship Building Class with Quinn. We noted significant improvements in her demeanor and attention span. Quinn was patient and insightful in his training. Would highly recommend this place !

She told us from the get go the goal was for us to not see her often, not because she didn’t want to, but because she provided us with more insight on how to better help our dogs! The Whole Dog Institute has been working with my large Bernedoodle puppy and I for a few months now to help his reactivity to other people and dogs. I could not have found a better place with better people to help! Tina has been our main trainer - she is so kind and patient with us. She also knows exactly how far to push Woodford so that he learns, but still has a very positive experience during every session. We have graduated from Woodford spending 4 hours barking and not letting new people touch him to now only a few barks followed by begging the new person to pet him. In addition to private sessions with Tina, we have also done the 6 Week Reactive Dog Class. That class exposed Woodford to many other types of dogs and stimuli. He was very nervous and barky during the first class, but by the end, was able to relax and have minimal issues when confronted with the same situations and stimuli. That class also helped to pinpoint some of the areas we needed to specifically work on after the class. Overall - I cannot recommend a more helpful place and team for any dogs needing some extra assistance to build your relationship with your them and their relationship with the world.

They advised that part of the issue with our pup was he was underfed, and recommended upping his food. They also taught great socialization techniques. Highly recommend their class for any new pups and their owners!!
