As another poster said, Nancy is the real deal. After an off leash dog attacked our 2 year old Rottweiler, she was left fearful of dogs in certain situations. Nancy helped us on a path to counter condition and desensitize Koda, as well as improve her overall focus and attention. She helped us understand our dog better, and tailor our training towards her sensitive Rottie nature. Thanks to Nancy, our dog has now passed 90% of the AKC Good Canine Citizen test, and will hopefully receive her title in the next 6 weeks. It takes time and effort, but if you are willing to put in the work, Nancy will set you up for success.

I took my dog who is a Pitbull to see Nancy ONCE. She explained to me that she has trained many pit bulls so I was confident in her skills. We proceeded through the orientation and by the time we were done she had me in tears explaining the nature of my dog to me whom I fostered for months before adopting. He was caged for a duration of time before we introduced him to our existing dogs and to our children he was highly supervised until I trusted. She also told me that my dog is highly dog aggressive even though she brought out this huge stuffed dog that looked terrifying with rips and stuffing hanging out of it. I did inform her that he did this same behavior when meeting my dogs and we took it slow reading the dogs body language and once nose to nose both tails were wagging and they immediately started playing. She said exactly that my dog who was rescued off the streets of Baltimore was worse then the Michael Vick’s fighting Dogs she trained/rehabilitated. From her expert “experience” she told me that I had to make a tough design but at the same time insinuated that another option was to put him down again for the safety of my children’s lives. She also said if I keep him to muzzle him at all times in the home and keep him leashes or caged 24/7. We left there with a harness and a leash and a face guide. BTW she put this too small thing on my dogs face and just let him scratch at his face until he became accustomed (which he never did) to it he literally had blood dripping off of his face until I said enough. If I would have know better then I swear she would have seen some crazy. I felt so guilty for letting her do that to my sweet sweet boy. as we left her expert advise was to be the only one to control him and to walk him 3 times a day every dayWell here I am a year later with a dog who I trained and he is absolutely perfect (very people and animal friendly). He lives in a house with 2 other dogs, barn animals, and a 3 year old and a 2 year old child. Again just to reiterate I did train him MYSELF. I would not recommend her to anyone. If I can train a dog by myself you can certainly take care of basic training and more advanced skills elsewhere, and as for the aggressive dog training she does I’d be careful she may put it in your head that you may want to put your dog down. The only thing she got right is that my dog had a front leg injury that made his leg bow a little bit which I already knew about prior. If I could I’d give her 0 stars I would.
