Positive Reinforcement & How We Train
Our training program is based on the effective and scientifically-proven positive reinforcement method. This means we use food, play, clickers, and life rewards (we like to say that positive isn’t permissive!), which is just as important as what we don’t use: side-effect-causing punishment methods.
We will help you reach your goals faster and more efficiently through our wide variety of group classes and private instruction with flexible scheduling! We train in-home, on-location and at our 12,000 sq ft dedicated facility.

We have given it very careful consideration, and because we are 100% committed to serving our community with the highest quality training, we are no longer accommodating board and train requests. We started out at Wonder Dogs in puppy class in spring 2025 with our then 4 month old border collie mix, Max. He was very reactive to new settings, other dogs, and sometimes strange people, got overstimulated quickly, and lunged at passing cars and bikes. We have taken other great classes to learn the basics, do tricks, practice agility, and socialize. Max is now 20 months old and has much more confidence out in the world. He has positive interactions with other dogs and is much more relaxed with people and bikers he encounters on our local trails. We have the tools we need to manage everyday situations and appreciate the compassion the Wonder Dogs trainers show.

We adopted Bailey, and 8 year old little white dog, possibly Havanese, who came with biting issues. Our local vet office recommended Wonder Dogs. After 5 sessions, Bailey is now safe to handle, follows all commands quickly, walks very nicely on leash and even is friendly to other dogs and people. At first, he was not bonding with our 13 year old rescue, but now tolerates her and is even showing empathy for her, now that she is experiencing a sudden illness. Jenn, our trainer, is really the best! Besides behavioral training, they also offer group training and even agility classes. It has certainly made Bailey's life and ours easier!

I am a first time dog owner. My dog Perry is a rescue from Texas and is a strong 50 pounds....I knew I would need help to get him on a leash outside...I had 2 amazing hours at home training and Jenn brought a harness for his pulling....We were out walking after the second hour.of training and it has been WONDERFUL! We will be attending future classes.... !! Thank you!

We adopted a sweet chihuahua at 5 months of age. We forgot how peppy pups are in addition to chewing and biting everything in sight. We reached out to WonderDogs for training. we have seen tremendous improvement in her behavior and are enjoying her immensely now. We were amazed at how quickly our pup improved and she is pure joy and has very good behavior now.
We found WonderDogs on the Nextdoor app and saw nothing but rave reviews as well as seeing they had been selected as the best dog trainers in the area for at least the past 5 years.
We highly recommend Wonder Dogs!

Learned tons of useful stuff for my dog and the trainers were always going out of their way to individualize it and help me with other questions. My dog has been to several puppy classes/training/sport courses over her life and wonder dogs was the best.
