Wonder Dogs

I drive from the coast weekly to wonder dogs and every hour drive is always way worth it !! At first I started bringing my puppy Axle to group classes with Hailey and I loved it so much then. But then one of my older dogs Copper started having extreme anxiety out of nowhere. After doing what I thought was everything, including putting Copper and 2 different anxiety medications. I made an appointment with Jenn. She sat down with me and copper and talked us through every little thing copper was going through and advice on how to fix it. Including diet , exercise plans, training ideas to help with exactly what copper was going through and even good supplements to try. The main goal for the visit was to figure out why for months copper had lost his confidence and even his go lucky Personality. Due to the overnight change from happy dog to just plan sad and Guarded, Jenn recommended me look into the possibility that copper maybe in pain, causing him discomfort. The next day copper started on some anti-inflammatories and a pain control due to Jenn’s recommendations. The next evening I had my Copper boy back. Instead of greeting me after work with his tail down and worry in his eyes , copper jumped up on my chest and gave me a big ole kiss. Something he hadn’t done in months. The next day he engaged in play with my puppy axle, something he hadn’t done much before either. Because of Jenn the months of stress not knowing why my boy was so sad has come to an end. Copper will under go full body radiographs, possibly an MRI and some physical therapy to really narrow down what’s causing this discomfort . I made an appointment thinking my dog was unhappy but turns out he was just sore. Copper runs in the sun again, Chases his favorite ball and simply just smiles, just like he used to before. Working at a veterinary clinic I recommend Wonder Dogs to just about everyone that walks in the door. Whether your dog needs training or you’re simply just looking for a fun thing to do wonder dogs is the place for sure !!! They are so loving and compassionate, they are always willing to help you work through really any problem you maybe having with your dog. And always in a positive way! 10000000/ 10 recommend.

Jenn and the Wonder Dogs team have made an incredible positive difference in our dog Tamera's life. Tamera is an anxious girl who is afraid of and reactive to other dogs and strangers. We took STAR and Rockstar Agility at Wonder Dogs this year after a behavioral evaluation with Jenn. Before we took STAR, we couldn't even imagine taking a group dog class with Tamera, but the individual "apartments" at Wonder Dogs and class structure make it possible to take things slow and take breaks so it isn't overwhelming. Jenn often says that STAR is therapy more than training, and this is type of support our girl needed. We took Rockstar Agility (agility for reactive/anxious dogs) after STAR, and could not be prouder of how Tamera learned to redirect her attention from things that scare her to fun agility games in this class. She had fun every week, and we saw her grow more and more confident. Now Tamera has happier walks, makes human friends easily, and we have the tools to keep moving forward. Everyone we have worked with at Wonder Dogs has been compassionate, patient, and knowledgable about working with behavioral challenges. They met us where we were at every step of the way, and gave us the confidence to take bigger leaps forward.

Thank you Wonder Dogs - excellent value for group class and the individuals, and also good quality training equipment and dog treats for sale. We (my dog and I) learned fun, new and effective training tools and were given notes to remember everything and follow up videos. So much helpful info on understanding and training my dog using a dog-centered positive reinforcement approach. And Jenn was patient with the human learner as well.
