Woodland Kennel

I reached out to Woodland Kennel's for the purpose of inquiring about a lab puppy. I was contacted by the owner Geoff, who is a wealth of knowledge about what I was looking for, along with the process that would transpire when moving forward. The communication between himself along with his wife was tremendous. We have now had our puppy "Chloe" for a little over two months and I cant be happier. Furthermore, being new to training I had many questions on the process that would transpire once the puppy was home, specifically house training. I followed a procedure that was put together by Geoff which consisted of a 7 course video which outlined how to housebreak a puppy. By watching these video's and keeping consistent with the instructions on housebreaking, I believe wholeheartedly the process was sped up enormously. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a breeder, or information regarding housebreaking to reach out to Woodland Kennel's and have a conversation with Geoff, I will assure you will not be disappointed. Diesel is our purebred Labrador retriever from Woodland Kennel. I recommend this breeder (and trainer) 1000%! Diesel’s my first dog, and temperament was my #1 priority, since both my son and I were afraid of dogs. But I knew we’d overcome that fear with an amazing family dog - and I was righ. Diesel is the absolute BEST dog in the world! The sweetest, smartest, and most handsome 🤩. He is also a great hunting dog! We love him to the moon and back. ❤️😍❤️

I sent my first dog for training at Woodland Kennels after a recommendation from a friend, it was an overall great experience with Geoff outlining the training and the goals we had discussed and what I wanted to get out of the dog, all of my expectations were exceeded and from that training came a great bird dog and member of our family. A few years passed and staying in touch we purchased a puppy from Woodland and sent her back to their training program. I can’t recommend them enough.

I came to Woodland kennel after rescuing a Labrador that was being abused. He had some issues so I knew professional help would be required. Meeting Geoff was one of the best things that could have happened for my dog Ranger. Geoff and his family took their time training Ranger showing him patience along the way. I was first concerned about leaving the dog for extended periods of time but honestly I had no need to worry. Geoff is a superb trainer, his years of knowledge are given to every dog in his care. The facilities at the kennel are such high quality I’d consider staying in the kennel. If you think your dog is going to miss you forget that they will be having too much fun to miss you, mine still gets excited just pulling into the driveway of the kennel. One of the best ways I can say you can trust Geoff and his family is when after a few months I went pick up Ranger from his retriever training before we left Geoff knelt down rubbed his ears kissed him on the head and said “ I’ll miss ya buddy”. You get a feeling that every dog is cared for as if it were their own. So after a few years I consider Geoff a friend and we’ve hunted together and I couldn’t even consider another breeder or trainer. Honestly the training your dog will receive will enrich their lives in ways you wouldn’t even imagine.
