X Learning K9s

This is Fergus, he is two years old, before sending him to X Learning K9's, I had him at to different training programs. He proved to be a dog with a very independent nature. He learned his lessons, however, he, like little children listened when he wanted to. I then heard of X Learning K9's. I had an initial diagnostic appointment with Val to see what help she could give me. She was very receptive to my concerns and took time to listen to the difficulties I was having. She immediately gained the confidence of Fergus. Fergus spent some time with Val for training and came back a different dog. He now is a courteous and well behaved companion. Val is a great trainer she is respectful of the dogs she trains and truly cares for her charges. I was given a tour of her facilities and they were clean and well kept. The kennels clean and spacious, there was no doggy smell as I've experienced at other training facilities. I even saw a doggy treadmill she uses doing inclement weather. I would highly recommend X Learning K9's for your dog train needs.

We recently started working with Val and joined one of her scent detection classes. My dog has his Detective and Master Elite titles with AKC and his NW1 with NACSW. I knew that we needed to up our game to be competitive in NACSW and wanted to work with someone in person. I’m so happy to be working with Val and know she’s going to help us become a stronger team. I’m super excited to see where we go from here!

We started scent detection classes with our dog in Fall 2023. Val is a passionate, skilled, and knowledgeable trainer. Besides her excellent knowledge, her love and respect for the dogs she works with is very evident. She is incredibly detail oriented but also regards each dog as an individual with its own needs and training pace. I have really enjoyed learning as a beginner and would recommend training with xlearning K9s.

Valentina is an extremely talented trainer! She reads dogs of all breeds very well, and her timing of reward as well as her timing when waiting for the dog to work through a problem, is impeccable. I have trained 4 dogs with Val... 1, a Dutch shepherd who loved the game but needed to brush up on some foundation, 2, an older Malinois who actually had bad associations with nose work due to some environmental sensitivity, 3, a baby Dutchie, who started foundation classes and did really well, and 4, my most recent baby boy Dutch who is already showing a strong desire to play the game and beginning to understand about staying at source, and who will be an amazing NW dog one day. Val has worked with each dog exactly where they were in that moment, and does what each one needs. She does not treat every dog the same and expect the same thing from every dog. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in nose work classes for fun or for competition.
