Every dog that enters our home becomes part of our family and forever touches our hearts, so I also remain deeply heartbroken over Otis’s passing. That morning was an absolute tragedy that completely shook us, and I still wish there was something I could have done to save him back in 2023. Our deepest condolences continue to go out to your family, as a crisis like this is one of my ultimate fears as caring for animals is my ultimate passion in life.<br>Gastric torsion (flipped stomach/bloat) is a sudden, unpredictable medical crisis that occurs without warning and is an earth-shattering experience. While I completely understand that no amount of time or financial reimbursement could ever heal the pain of losing him, I truly did my best to handle this devastating situation with the utmost respect, care, and accountability. To help support your family during your immense grief, we proactively offered to arrange a necropsy. After waiving all training fees, I immediately funded the full cost of his necropsy and cremation.<br>Regarding your mention of communication, I’m unfortunately unable to keep daily communication, although throughout his stay we did maintain consistent weekly communication and shared proactive updates, even though my updates are normally sent bi-weekly or based on training milestones. I know grief is difficult and understand the emotions that come from it; therefore, we will always hold Otis and your family in our hearts.
