Your Dog's Guru, Inc

Just moved to the area and Your Dogs Guru was recommended by a neighbor. I’m so happy I gave it a try. My little Westie, Archie loves going to play school. He sits by the door every morning waiting to go. Runs inside when we get to the parking lot. That says it all. They have an amazing and caring staff. I don’t know what I would do without them. I have tried other doggie daycares. There is no comparison. I will only take him to the best. Thank you so much. Your dogs Guru is amazing!!!

Your Dog’s Guru has been our go to training and boarding partners for over 10 years, with all 4 of our dogs. Michael has helped me with all sorts of dog behavioral issues in a compassionate, intelligent way that made us all more comfortable in our relationships together and resulted in a much more relaxed and harmonious household. The staff at YDG is wonderful, they have taken such good care of all my dogs (even the reactive/scared ones) and I know I can trust them to look after my furbabies whenever we have to be pit of town. Playschool has also been so great for us! Our current dog is a nine month old boxer/pit rescue who desperately needs socialization and exercise and playschool has been the best thing ever for her. I recommend YDG to everyone I know and will never go anywhere else for training, playschool, boarding or grooming! Maggie the groomer there is ALSO fantastic! The negative reviews here are simply lies being spread by people who have never even brought a dog here, inspired by one person’s perceived bad experience. All the animals in YDG’s care are loved and nurtured and very very well taken care of. I have never felt like the staff at YDG was more concerned with money than a dog’s welfare. An example: Michael told me after one day that my senior pit probably shouldn’t do playschool because he didn’t seem to enjoy it or get much utility out of it instead of just taking my money and letting my dog attend every week just to sit and wait for me to pick him up. I have been plenty of other places that would have certainly done that. That is definitely someone who cares more about a dog’s wellbeing than money. I am so grateful for the whole YDG staff for creating such a safe, happy place for my dogs to go!

YDG literally changed our lives 3 years ago. When my daughter was born we were told by family, friends and our own vet (while crying in the office with us) that we would have to put our 5yo dog down or give him away because of his aggression towards the baby...enter YDG with an initial home visit and subsequent on site training and our dog is not only still with us but my daughters best friend. I tell everyone I can about this amazing business and their caring staff. I take both my dogs there twice a week for play school and they literally vibrate with excitement. The yard staff give me updates at pick up, tell me about the day and dote on my furr babies with nicknames. It is the only place we have been able to board our dogs for a vacation and it has been life changing to have that safe, affordable option. Both our dogs had aggression issues and destructive tendencies before YDG and now they are social and approachable which is a peace of mind I never dreamed of having while out in public. YDG has NEVER made me feel that they care about my money, I feel a part of their community and truly believe my family's life would be significantly different if I had not taken a chance on them. If I could rate higher than five I would!!

Your Dog's Guru is outstanding. We contacted Michael for help when we got a new puppy about 2 years ago - even though this was our 4th dog this new one was energetic on a whole new level. His patience (with us as well as with Bailey) helped us through a crazy puppy stage. Michael, Annie and their great staff have welcomed Bailey, helped train Bailey, play with her and love her...all while reinforcing great dog behaviors on and off leash. YDG has been a lifesaver for us ~ what a great place!! Even though this is our 4th lab, we learned so much working with them. Simply the best.
