Zoom Room Dog Training

I wish I could give this facility a higher rating, but we unfortunately left with a bad taste in our mouths. We had purchased a training package that allows 1 year to use all sessions. But 6 months into having this package, we had to unexpectedly move from Long Beach to Orange County for work. Originally, we were told they would not refund our remaining sessions, but that they would extend our time to use them if needed. This was initially fine, and we of course agreed since we were not so far that still coming to sessions was impossible. However, shortly after our first move to OC, we received notice that we needed to move to Temecula, again for work purposes. I called and left messages explaining our new situation, now asking for a refund of the services we did not use because we were completely unable to use them. The owner told me no, that they would not refund us for what we had not been able to use. We are highly disappointed with the amount of money spent and lost, and with the facility's inflexibility in working with us when life circumstances arose that we were not expecting. We ultimately feel like the facility scammed us out of our money by using good sales tactics up front, and ultimately put the company before their customer base. On another note, but still worth mentioning, of all the trainers we have worked with - and I have worked with many - this facility was not the worst, but also not the best. One of their "top" trainers in particular tends to have an attitude and makes jokes that really are more like unhealthy jabs than actually being funny. Multiple times in our sessions with her, she would shout commands that would confuse our dogs and us because they did not match the commands we used at home. When this would happen, my husband or I would get blamed in the session for our dogs not understanding, but the reality is that her shouting wrong commands at my dogs is what created the problem. We told her the commands we used at home, yet this still happened more than once. The other trainers we got to work with, Katie and Chynthsia (I may be spelling her name wrong, so I apologize), were a pleasure, and we have no complaints. Overall, a massive bummer of an experience.

Soprano and I are learning so much at the Zoom Room! They always have enriching activities and really support the pet-parents to navigate these puppy months (and years). They are kind and made me feel very welcome. As a dog-mom of a 16 year old and a bereaved 14 year old, I knew it was a long time since i was a puppy dog-mom. And they have made me feel confident, solved some minor issues I had with the puppy training and make it fun and safe every time. I also recommend the puppy playtime. Soprano is singing through his puppy time at Zoom Room!
