Zoom Room Dog Training

Not happy with the new management training approach, the previous trainers and the course structure used to be very good. Despite of giving feedback and letting the management and trainers know that the puppy group classes are not effective and valuable there was no changes made. I would not recommend anyone to go for the puppy group classes since it is not effective and not worth the money. It now more of talking and less of practicing or teaching new commands.

TLDR: If you want certified trainers go elsewhere. If you’re set on coming here give them a few months to work out the kinks. I came here on the recommendation of my coworker. I checked the reviews and could see they had very suddenly changed management and fired all the well loved trainers. I came to the Orientation anyway in which you can tell the girl is brand new as she has to read notes from her notebook to me even though I’m the only one here for “orientation”. I asked her if the trainers here are certified as I had taken classes elsewhere and not had very much progress with my pup. She gave a roundabout answer of “oh everyone here is experienced that’s why they got hired” so basically NO none of them are certified otherwise you would have said yes knowing that is a big way to attract dog owners. I would prefer if they are just honest with me. They have a nice selection of treats, hence why I’m giving them two stars, but the Manager had no clue how to work the computer system and took a loooong time to check me out long enough I wanted to say Nevermind I don’t need the treats this bad. If the manager can’t work the POS system it gives me little faith for the rest of the staff. Maybe check other locations to see if they have actually certified staff otherwise I would go elsewhere.

I used to go here from time to time for private agility sessions with my dog. It used to be good; the trainers were nice and the online site was easy to use. I had booked a training session, and got an email that the gym was under new management, and that my session was cancelled (36 hours notice). I then got bombarded with emails telling me that they hadn't seen me for a while, and I should come in for training. A few weeks later, when I realized my prepaid training session had a "use it or lose it" date, I booked a session. Their online booking site was a horror show - slow, poor labeling, you name it. And all the old trainers seemed to be gone. I then got a call that I had booked for two sessions (thanks, crappy website), and was rebooked for one. When I arrived, hungry dog in tow, I was informed that the system lets them double book, and my training session overlapped with an obedience class and I would have to rebook my session. At this point, enough is enough. The new place has crappy scheduling, they've replaced all the old people, and there's really no reason to suppose they will fix anything. I certainly wouldn't assume any session we book would be honored. We won't be back. Way to screw up a good thing.

I had an evaluation with my dog about a month ago with a trainer named Hailey. I was told she would be the instructor for the class that she recommended. She seemed very knowledgeable and I felt she was going to be a good match. In the meantime I got an email saying there was new ownership. Never did I guess the entire previous staff would be gone. I’m disappointed because I thought I was signed up for a class with a certified trainer and I don’t think the new staff is certified (unless they haven’t listed their certifications on the new schedule). If they are certified I hope the new owner puts that on the schedule who is, otherwise I don’t know that I would’ve signed up for these classes. The schedule also looks to be much lighter than it was when I first looked. The class seemed pretty short.
