We work one-on-one with your dog and you. Choose from single, al-a-carte sessions or specially designed packages to meet your training goals. All of our training is tailored to meet your needs, just tell us what behaviors you want trained or modified and we do the rest. Group lessons are a good way to develop social skills and learn a few things about your dog's behavior. We offer beginning, advanced & puppy classes.

SIRIUS Puppy & Dog training is the original puppy school! Over 40 years ago our founder, Dr. Ian Dunbar, created and taught the world's very first off-leash puppy class, right here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since then, we've run thousands of classes and trained over 120,000 puppies! Along the way, we’ve worked constantly to update and refine our curriculum, to ensure that our classes are the best they can be. Our classes come with an unrivaled collection of on-demand training videos and other resources to support your training at home, providing you and your puppy or dog with the ultimate educational experience.

The Canine Coach offers private training or behavior modification for dogs. We also offer puppy classes and group classes on pet manners and training. Intermediate and advanced training offered includes AKC Canine Good Citizen and Rally classes. Our positive methods build trust and establish clear communication between people and their pets. Boarding services offered include daily individualized training. Boarding dogs stay in our home and receive lots of individual attention since we only take care of three pets at any time. Day training and socialization are also offered.

Hound Haven owner Peggy McCarty is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She earned a Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC) from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers. Graduating from the Academy (considered the "Harvard for dog trainers") under the instruction of Jean Donaldson. She also studied with Malena DeMartini, an expert in the field of Separation Anxiety. Peggy completed the intensive program to become a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT). Peggy also attended the Karen Pryor Academy. Through KPA she furthered her skills working not only with dogs but other species. The emphasis on using clickers (marker training) is an integral piece of KPA.

Companion Dog Training (CDT) was established by founder and training director Gina Esoldi in 2019. The training facility, fondly known as Rancho Cucciolo, sits on 1.5 beautiful acres in Escondido. Rancho Cucciolo provides the perfect training grounds for both on and off leash training, with its privately owned fully fenced dog park, enclosed and air conditioned training room, and doggy dormitory. Training your dog whether it be for a companion, therapy work, or service is about trust, communication and most of all relationship.
