A Very Good K9

We seriously cannot say enough amazing things about Austin and Haley Avery. Bella, our puppy, has been with them twice now—first for the 2-week foundational program and more recently for a 3-week advanced obedience program and we are honestly blown away by the difference their training has made. ❤️ Bella is only just turning 7 months old, and people are constantly telling us how well-behaved and calm she is. We’re just as surprised as they are, in the best way possible! She still has the same goofy, sweet personality we adore, but she’s so well-mannered and responsive now that life with her is just a thousand times easier. What makes the Averys truly special, though, is how much they care. They took the time to really get to know Bella—what motivates her, what she struggles with, and what she needs to thrive. It never felt like a one-size-fits-all program. They treated her like their own, and honestly, we joke all the time that they’re her second set of parents now. The 1-on-1 sessions with us were just as helpful as the training Bella received. They made sure we felt confident, took time to explain everything clearly, and never once made us feel rushed or overwhelmed. They are genuinely just the kindest, most supportive people. We’re so grateful we found the Averys. We love them, Bella loves them, and we truly hope to keep working with them as she grows.

Haley and Austin Avery are simply fantastic and offer a critical service in their board and training programs. From our first to our most recent contact, they've been kind, professional, and responsive, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found them. We boarded our 2 year GSD with them 2 months ago when I was recovering from a knee replacement. Sammy participated in their 4 week training program specializing in recall. Every other day or so we were gifted with a photo or video and a brief report about her progress. What a treat to see her responding to them and their instruction so positively, and delighting in the company of other very good canines. The training we received upon her return was invaluable, and we look forward to more opportunities to hone our collective skills. Her adjustments to entering the program and returning home again were flawless and easy. We'll be traveling in the fall, and plan to reengage Sam with more training there while we're away. Austin and Haley are the absolute best! We sent our dog Lola to their 4 week board and train program and the results are incredible. Lola went from being afraid and aggressive towards strangers to greeting everyone with excitement. Her commands and recall drastically strengthened and we can enjoy hikes with her off leash knowing she’ll come running back the second we call her. Their program has strengthened our relationship and we are able to enjoy her even more. They also provided frequent video updates on what Lola was learning and gave thorough explanations every step of the way. Can’t recommend AveryGoodK9 enough!

I can’t say enough amazing things about A Very Good K9. I sent my 4 year old golden Henry after years of struggling to train away some behaviors. Mostly leash manners and reactivity. Since returning home he’s been an amazing boy. We finally get to go on adventures stress free together. I’m so happy to be able to give him the fullest life now and I credit Austin and Haley for that. They took him for a month and gave him so much love, attention, and training along the way. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. 🩵
