TLDR: GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR BOARDING OR TRAINING. YOUR DOG IS NOT IN GOOD HANDS HERE. LITERALLY GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I have known Ty since 2020 - I have referred multiple people to him and regret that anyone I know ever sent their dog here either for training or for boarding. I have used him for both training and boarding and have had horrific experiences with both. BOARDING: Ty USED to keep dogs in his apartment in the city, give them 1:1 attention, walks, and everything you could expect from a dog sitter. The last time we sent our dog to him for boarding the understanding is that he would stay with Ty at his apartment while we were out of town for 8 days. Instead, one day into his stay - Ty reached out saying that he is too overwhelmed with training to keep our dog and sent him to his parents house in the suburbs. There, they had at least 10 dogs - all in crates in their living room. None of the comforting things that we sent with our dog were given to him. They do NOT walk the dogs. They let them out in the backyard in a small fenced area. All of the pictures and videos of the place look dirty and our dog was given back to us smelling of smoke and clearly terrified. It took us at least a week to get our dog back to his normal self. TRAINING: When I first got my dog I had Ty over for multiple sessions. Ty is very strange in person - constantly talks to his phone voice notes and clearly not good with people. Once he asked us for a broom to bang on the ground when our dog barks - Ty hit it SO hard that he broke our broom and our dog was terrified of him. Most recently - we purchased a pack of three training sessions from Ty (prior to our traumatic boarding experience) and when we went to book the second session Ty all of a sudden made up a rule that you had to use the sessions within 6 months. We have all the contracts and invoices from our purchase and this new made up rule was not on any of our records. He is a complete sham and I would not trust him to care or train for any dog.

When my boyfriend and I first adopted our dachshund, Vienna, at just 9 weeks old, we reached out to Bow Wow Behavioral. Ty and Laura have been instrumental in her development over the past year. As dachshunds can be stubborn, we weren’t sure how effective training would be, but finding Ty and Laura ended up being the best decision we could have done for her. Not only did their training tactics work, she also was always so excited to see them! They were always available to provide advice on any concerns or issues that arose with her. When we first started training sessions, Vienna was terrified of the outdoors, but with some consistency and Laura and Ty’s help, by the end of our fifth session, she has become so eager to go even goes potty regularly outside now.
