FirstBarkElizabeth and volunteers provided an excellent learning experience for my pup. Puppy kindergarten was a good balance of learning and socializing. She was patient and understanding and took the time to address individual questions beyond regular class time. Looking forward to enrolling in advanced classes once we get the hang of basics 😻

How long will it take to train my dog?
Length of time depends upon you, your dog, and your goals. In any one lesson, we can cover 1-3 topics over the course of an hour. You may wish to have multiple lessons on one topic. As a new puppy owner, the puppy training package was exactly what I needed to get my pup and I started on the right path. Kelly was incredibly helpful during our sessions and gave me the training knowledge to work with my pup between our meetings and beyond. If you are a novice puppy owner and feel overwhelmed, give them a try - you will not be disappointed.

Being a Jack Russell, Enzo has a lot of energy, so I loved how Kelly tailored his training to meet his energetic needs. She taught us so much and just after one class we totally saw a difference with Enzo. The tips she gave us on how to help channel his energy into positive behavior has been a life saver! I would highly recommend working with Kelly and the team at Calvert Dog Academy. We are so impressed and can see the positive changes in Enzo, in fact we will be continuing with Kelly on the maintenance plan which will continue to help us ensure that we and Enzo have all the tools necessary to help us grow and learn as a family. Elizabeth did such an amazing job improving not only our rescue dog Graham's behavior on the leash, but also vastly improved how we communicate with him! We learned so much in just two lessons, and have been able to continue to work with the tools she taught us!! She set us up for great success, and we are so grateful for everything she's done for us!
