FirstBarkElizabeth was our trainer for puppy kindergarten with our 5 month old goldendoodle, Enzo. She really helped us make great strides with him in the course of 6 weeks. Elizabeth is patient and supportive of her dog parents and instills confidence thru clear instruction and hands on practice. Definitely recommend her and four paws up for Elizabeth!

Length of time depends upon you, your dog, and your goals. In any one lesson, we can cover 1-3 topics over the course of an hour. You may wish to have multiple lessons on one topic. Calvert Dog Academy has been AMAZING for my foster pup! Coco came to us as a “final plea” with behavioral issues and zero training. She would full on grab your arm while playing and would jump all over you. She did a bit of resource guarding and was not good with strangers, especially men. We have done only a handful of training sessions with Kelly and Coco is a completely different dog. Kelly was able to teach me SO MUCH to help with training Coco. Coco now knows sit, down, off, gimme paw (x2), crawl, stay, wait, get it, look, touch, muzzle up, kiss, and more! She can walk right by other dogs and will ignore them. She has met several strangers without issues. She no longer jumps on us. She does not mouth/bite us at all anymore. *knock on wood* her resource guarding seems to be under control. Here are 2 pictures of her doing her “sit, stay” and “wait” (for a treat). We are still working on some things, but overall she is doing absolutely amazing. I just enrolled some more foster pups in training as well. I can’t wait to watch them all flourish with training. ❤️ I almost forgot to mention how much they care about their clients and pets. The way they interact with the pups they work with is amazing to watch. Your pups matter so much to them. Now get yourself and your dogs signed up for some training, it’s worth it.
Elizabeth was a fantastic trainer. We took our 4 month old Chow to her kindergarten classes and safe to say Milan really benefited from them. He learned so much in such a short amount of time. Highly recommend!!!
Elizabeth gave us a great foundation through puppy kindergarten! She taught us a perfect set of basic skills as well as how to train/learn effectively with our pup. People regularly remark on how well-socialized and trained our puppy is already and we have Elizabeth to thank for that!

Not only does my rescue dog respond well to the patient and methodical teaching, but the training makes me feel so in control! Following this program allows us to handle almost any situation that arises with our pup. Our trainer, Elizabeth and her assistants were warm, welcoming, and patient with my many questions. I can't recommend enough!
