Dori Dog Training

The training advice that Dori gives was truly an insight into my dog's behaviors & he gave us the tools to work with him in the areas we were having problems with. Being able to socialize my 90# boxer with other dogs his size in a safe environment has been wonderful! He loves to play & loves other dogs but it's not always easy to find other dogs his size & energy level in this rural area. Dori works training into this time as well for the dogs which make it a win win for dog & owner! We have also been able to utilize the boarding services & have felt he was well cared for & had the added bonus of the socialization during the boarding time which again, includes training. Interacting with Dori, his wife & staff has always been a pleasant & easy experience. Thank you for all you do for Brutus!

We boarded our Briard, Sadie, at Dori’s this summer for training. Her problems that led us to his excellent training program included excessive barking when a car would pass our house or a truck that she would see on the highway. At our home she would race to the door and jump and bark when any car or truck drove by. Her ability to sit still or be in a down position was very limited. She could not be off leash or out of a fenced yard because she wouldn’t listen to our commands. In other words we couldn’t properly handle her, not fair to either of us. We were at wits end and discovered Dori’s and went in to see him and then had her assessed to see where she was and how “bad” she was. After a very thorough assessment and his recommendations we decided to later leave our furry friend with Dori. When we visited her several weeks later, the change in her behavior was dramatic, her obedience level had increased greatly, she listened readily to our commands. Further training and visits with her at local stores and different types of interactions with strangers and other dogs were impressive. I could go on and on but I hope you have an idea, based on my unsolicited testimony, how well a “dog person” and excellent trained Dori is. I heartily recommend Dori’s Dog Training to any and all. I trusted my west German Shepherd with Dori dog training. He was there for a 3 week board and train session with them. 18 days into the training I received a call from them saying that he soiled his crate and he had a rash on his neck. I picked him up and took him to my vet. He had diarrhea because they had him all stressed out. He had sores all the way around his neck from a prong collar and a shock collar they were using on him. They were starving him. I know this because he lost 4lbs in the 18 days he was with them. They never gave him the heart worm medicine that I had left with them. These people are horrible they use fear and pain to make a dog comply. They don’t even deserve 1 star To reply to Shlomi’s response to my review. You say I was there on multiple occasions during his training. I was there once and I expressed concern about the nervous condition I noticed during a walk with him. As for the dozens of pictures and videos you have of him I only received a 10 sec and a15 second video of him and a couple of pictures during the whole training session. And for the “e collars” you can put whatever cute little name on them that you want. But the fact is they are Shock collars they are made to do 1 thing Shock dogs. I remember the 1 phone call I got from you in the first week. You mentioned about his barking. Your comment was “and that will stop”. It makes me wonder how many times you had to shock my dog before he was too afraid to bark. And his Inflammatory bowel disease he had no problem with it. It was under control. My vet will attest to that. My vet has examined him on multiple occasions in the last 6 months She agreed that as long as he ate right it would be no problem. The past few months with me he was gaining 1-2 lbs a week with no diarrhea and with you after 18 days he lost 4 lbs. I gave you tuna to feed him with his dry food with instruction to give him 2 cans per day 1 at each feeding. I gave you 48 cans and got 30 of them back. You only fed him 1 per day. You couldn’t even been bothered to give him his heart worm medicine. And I was never on the verge of giving him away. When I make a commitment to a dog it’s for life. I was trying to get him help i was willing to spend a lot of money to get him that help. I just made the mistake of coming to you
