Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training

We couldn't be happier with Yona's board and train experience at Ducktown Lodge. Sarah did an amazing job with her and the results have exceeded our expectations. The biggest improvement has been Yona's impulse control. Before training, she would get excited and jump on people, but since coming home she hasn't jumped on a single person. She now reliably holds her sit, down, and place commands, even with distractions around her. Sarah also taught Yona a solid "drop" and "leave it" command, both of which have been incredibly useful and work very well. These commands have given us much more confidence when she's around things she shouldn't pick up or when we need her attention redirected quickly. At only 5 months old, Yona has made incredible progress and feels like a completely different dog. She's more focused, calmer, and much more enjoyable to take out in public and have around the house. Sarah was fantastic throughout the entire process, and it's clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. We are extremely grateful for all the time and effort she put into Yona's training. If you're considering board and train for your dog, we highly recommend Ducktown Lodge and Sarah. The experience was worth every penny.

We have had the pleasure of taking both our dogs here for boarding over the last few years, and we are so thankful to have found this place! We feel so at ease and comfortable when we drop our dogs off, there is never any worry in our minds that they will be taken care of. They get personalized play with no other dogs, which we absolutely love...tons of pics and updates sent was a nice touch to always keep us updated. I highly recommend Ducktown if you are looking for a smaller, personalized place for your dog, where you know they will get the attention they deserve....5 stars all the way around!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Ducktown Lodge! I reached out on the website and within minutes, Lucinda called me and helped walk me through how to reserve a stay for my (very high energy 1 year old black lab) along with a 14 day training built into his stay. I went and toured the facility and was so impressed. They only take 12 dogs at a time so they have the ability to keep it clean, calm, and fun for the dogs. I met Sara, the trainer, and felt so at ease and comfortable leaving my dog there. The process from beginning to end was well-communicated and so easy. When we brought our dog home after pickup, he was a completely different dog. He was more calm, listened to us more consistently and overall much happier. We got pictures and video updates every day along with progress notes. The training Sara did with him was so impressive. He's a stubborn dog and she has transformed him! Thank you Ducktown, Lucinda and Sara! We will be booking again with you guys the next time we go out of town.
