Five Lakes Dog Training

I wish I could do more than 5 stars! Sami has changed our lives greatly and we are so thankful! We have a three month old foster child and are expecting another baby in February! She took our girl Aspen and shaped her into the most perfect family dog! She went from the most stubborn and bossy dog to a sweet and gentle girl. She blessed us greatly by shaping her into a dog we can trust to have in our growing family! Thank you Sami!

I can not praise how highly my experience with Sami has been! Our black lab mix, Maverick, and our great pyrenees, Apollo, have made such an improvement since Sami has come into our lives. We can take Apollo on walks without being dragged down the street and he will come inside when called (which is a HUGE improvement). We can take Maverick to the vet without him barking the entire time in the waiting room, control him way better on walks, and he no longer jumps uncontrollably on everyone he sees. Sami worked with my husband and I to boost our confidence so we can reinforce the training consistently. It is so nice to know that our investment is forever and she is only a phone call away when we need some help. We use her boarding services as well which brings so much peace of mind while we are away. We 100% recommend Sami and 5 Lakes Dog Training, this investment has greatly improved our lives and our relationship with our pups!

This training has been life-changing for our family. We have two dogs who couldn’t have more different personalities. Our Brittany (Saoirse-6) could run for days and our pittie-mix (Poe-less than a year old) is much more laid back but stubborn. Saoirse would bolt if she got out of the house or the fence and would stay gone for hours, which was a safety concern for her and for drivers since she didn’t stay out of the road. She wouldn’t come when called. She was also very reactive to new dogs. We had just adopted Poe. He had a great disposition but normal puppy behaviors (jumping, chewing things, whining when left alone even very short periods). Sami’s training allowed Saoirse and Poe to bond in a neutral location. They are seriously best friends now. They play hard but it doesn’t escalate beyond that. We are able to let the dogs hang out with us outside and they don’t run off- something I never imagined for Saoirse. Now she gets to run all around, safely, and be a part of the family all day long. She is also in better physical shape now because of it. Poe is much better because of the “off” command, and we can rely on him not to accidentally hurt anyone by jumping. Now both dogs are good and tired in the evening and able to have good snuggles on the couch or be in “place” (beds in the living room) hanging out calmly. Bottom line, I cannot express how transformative this experience has been and highly recommend it for anyone considering training their dogs with Sami!
