Foundation K9 NWI

We have a 4 yr old Bernedoodle. He listened but had a defensive issue as well as an anxiety problem. I inquired to Foundation k9 and met Jim and Sharon. From the initial consultation I felt very comfortable with them. On the first day Colt wouldn’t leave the truck, when I picked him up at the end of the day, major changes had already been ingrained in him. Jim and the whole staff are incredible and I greatly appreciate their care and commitment to not only training Colt, but us as owners as well. I fully recommend Foundation k9 and the team. We recently brought our 6-month-old Beauceron, Shooter, home after completing the residency program at Foundation K9—and we are beyond impressed. Shooter started the program with a lot of anxiety. He was timid, afraid of car rides, and resistant to walking on a leash. Now, thanks to the incredible training and care he received, he’s come home a more confident, well-behaved, and obedient dog. Jim and Sharon were truly amazing to work with from start to finish. Their communication was exceptional—starting with our initial consultation, continuing with regular updates throughout Shooter’s stay, and ending with a thorough walk-through at pickup that made sure we felt confident carrying on the training at home. They’ve also made it clear that they’re available for continued support, which gives us so much peace of mind. With a toddler at home, having a well-trained dog was non-negotiable for us. We needed to feel confident that Shooter wouldn’t play too rough or try to steal food from our little one. Thanks to Foundation K9, we now have a dog we can trust completely—and we’re so thankful for that. We can’t recommend Foundation K9 enough. We took our Bernese mountain puppy to Foundation K9. He spent 1 month with them learning his manners. They were very patient with us humans to teach us how to work with him. He has a way to go because he’s still a baby but they guarantee their training and allow us to ask questions, they work with our schedules and we can have maintenance visits if we need them. We appreciate how they have taken care of our handsome boy.

We decided to have our two dogs attend residency training with the Foundation K9 Team. My wife had some reservations leaving our dogs due to past experiences with boarding facilities. Those concerns were quickly alleviated upon our arrival at their training facility in Valparaiso. These guys are professionals. The facility is immaculate inside and out. All of our questions and concerns addressed with confidence and care. At the conclusion of residency Jim took the time to train us making sure we are set up for success. We now have two dogs that are a pleasure not only at home but in public as well. We are complemented on their behavior every time we are out. Thank’s again to the Foundation K9 Team!
